The value would depend on the market. There are always people that want to collect items. Look at people that collect figurines for shows that are over and done with. Also, if there are integrations with other games or developers then use of the items still persists.Either you or I are missing the really obvious. With the server gone and the game shut down, I don't care how you own your item. Some meaningless bit on a blockchain or the data is burn into a physical disk sent to your door with a ribbon, without the actual gaming environment to apply it it's meaningless.
