I don’t think it is unreasonable to ask to proof they are able to perform to certain standard for hard content like savage.

That may get you through the door ... but assuming the company is ran competently you ain't gonna last. In this case even if a static accepted an in-experience in good faith, they'll just be removed for under performance in quick order.
