Please fix the “naked queueing” for Aliance Raids

Yea how dare new players try to queue up for the mandatory crystal tower raids. In my experience there is pretty much always the first time completion bonus active so those runs would have happened anyway even if no one did gear cheesing.

True, we'll end up in Crystal Tower more than any other because people need it for MSQ. That's fine.

People cheesing doesn't help though. If you have ever sat in a specific queue that was almost full, and watched most of the members who are in a non-specific queue get sucked out right as you're about to fill, it's due to cheesers weighting the queue toward Crystal Tower. You could have sat in your queue for 30 minutes and be almost ready to roll, and then zip, people weight the queue toward CT and all the people in Alliance Roulette who would qualify for the duty you want to do get thrown into CT.

This also deprives new players of a reasonably fast queue into duties they've never done before, making it harder for them to do Mhach, Ivalice, etc.

So as a result of you just seeing it one way, you've revealed how much you don't actually know.

You might want to try to read the thread before replying, or maybe reading the post you're responding to if that's too much work. This is a discussion of cheating the queue by gearing down. Nobody is complaining about sprouts who need a clear.

It would be such an easy fix, force the min ilvl for the highest raid and be done - if you que as lv 60+, you need to have the ilvl for Dun scaith, if youre 70+ you need to have the ilvl for orbonne etc...

You don't actually have to que naked, just meet the minimum ilevel. For example if any one in this thread wants to wear a full set of emperors new clothes, and accessories then throw on a i530 weapon, they get lota. Of course its up to them if they want to change into battle gear inside. This has been a thing since 2.0, devs should focus on things that actually matter like changing back the low poly grapes!

By people doing this, they are in increasing the queue times for later raids for new players, directly making the experience worse. They are also EXPLOITING an unintended loop hole in the game mechanics. PLEASE fix this. I’m so tired of getting Labyrinth and then seeing selfish people on chat smugly saying “it worked!”

How would they fix it? You need a minimum ilvl for the raid or else your damage might be so low you can't complete it so they can't just check what LVL your character is. They could scan your armory chest I guess but that might take more time for the queue maybe? If they were to keep a record of what items your character has had equipped for the last few hours that might cause more server load. Short of removing the ilvl check which as I said might cause problems in damage output or healing output or probably other problems what could they really do to fix it? Force you to have gear equal to your level before you are even able to queue?

The point of roulettes is to fill up duties for new players. I've done many alliance raid runs recently and I dont remember getting any of the crystal tower raids without also having the first time completion bonus active.

well then your Data center is better than mine, its a 50/50 if a crystal tower has a first time bonus.
coincidentally, EVERY Ivalice or Void Ark raid has a first time bonus.

It's true, I dont know any more than my experience can tell me since I dont have access to any relevant data. But neither do you. My assumption is that queue cheesing will only have a very small effect on the roulette because vastly more people are doing CT for MSQ than the others which are as you know optional.

I can return the "read the post" right back at you. Those CT raids would have happened anyway in my experience because some new player needed them for msq as evidenced by the first time completion bonus being active.

Forcing ilvl would break the queue. I have two non crystal tower raids unlocked. I would be unable to do the roulette above 50.

If I want to run Neir raids for the glamour items guess what I'll queue for them and so on. I'm don't here this is going nowhere.

And then you'd be sitting in queue for upwards of 30min to 2hrs waiting on the Neir raids to pop because everyone is forcing people in Crystal tower content by cheesing the ilvl..
