A platform is a platform, dunno how shaping it like a flower or an '&' would make the fights more fulfilling.
You know there's a lot of limitations in the engine they inherited from 1.0, where there wasn't even a jump, right? While not ideal they're dealing with what they have. Passing tethers can be a nightmare already, I don't want to imagine how finnicky it would get if they threw jump detections and collisions into the mix.
