The content was created for whatever the party in there wants it to be. It does not have a singular purpose, and you don’t have an argument here. You are trying to impose what YOU want it to be for onto whatever matched party you end up with, and that’s not how the content works. It’s for whatever that party decides its for. The official page describing what an accursed hoard is =/= stating that this is the purpose of PotD/HoH. Fun fact: intuitions and hoards weren’t even present in PotD at release.

It’s multipurpose, and it always has been. Since PotD was introduced in Patch 3.35—which was over five years ago. HoH is just a copy-paste.

And you are of course the duty police to define what it was created for? If we really think about it, content in MMOs is usually created with the sole goal of making profit by entertaining a player for a fee. Nothing more, nothing less.

Anyway, don't let the door hit you on the way out. But really, consider checking marketboard for those minions you want, they are likely worth peanuts. And check out that "Party Finder". Such an easy solution to save yourself a lot of grief.

In my experience most people won't bother to vote kick people over getting silver chests and accursed hoard, it just depends on how much you're slowing things down.

If you add 3 minutes to each floor that's 27 minutes of wasted time (Not counting the boss floor) and most people don't want to sign up for that

The problem there is how sure are you of that statement?

Deep Dungeons have been about leveling since they were first introduced. They rapidly replaced FATE grinding.

If you want to use them for something else - the beginning of an expansion when 103% of the playerbase is trying to level up all the classes they regularly play is a very bad time to be doing it.

A few months in and I've always found everyone starts using these places to grind up the weapon skins by hitting the silver chests. But right now - it's all about leveling.

Your personal desires aside - when you face off against the ocean you will get swept away.

You must work at some corporate's PR or something with how you're wording things. You clearly don't appreciate hearing the same thing over and over, when it's true and you don't want to acknowledge it by nitpicking every little thing people say.

I've been in a trial roulette before where three people were RPing while others were loading in, and even stopping everything to RP. EVEN RPING THE FACT THAT WE WIPED 'how are we still alive? But didn't we just enter here?' We ended up wiping because two of the RPers were the healers, and they LET people die because of 'hurr hurr RP reasons'.

If someone is making things take longer than needed, then they'll probably be kicked. What I said is a more extreme reasoning, but still it hinders the majority.

You do realize that without the EXP incentive, both PotD and HoH would be completely dead content that would be near impossible to complete as a party nowadays, yes? All the loot is entirely meaningless due to it being dirt cheap on the market board sans the Nightmare Pegasus and Dodo mounts. You can deem it "crazy" all you fancy but you're simply wrong. A Duty Finder party in any content is entirely at the whims of who joins. If you're wanting a slow dungeon run to take in the new scenery and lore yet get paired with three people who wanna pull everything in sight, then the group has every right to be upset with you slowing them down as they're the majority. It's simply how any DF party works.
