You are wasting your time OP. So long as people are willing to pay an MMO fee for a single player experience because it's "teh greetest story me ever saw" SE will keep cutting corners in all other aspects to maximize profits.

We've seen it in ShB with the uninspired dungeons, cut Ultimate, lack of Deep Dungeon, lack of Allied Beast Tribe quest, lack of job quests.
And it's more evident in EW with the reuse of assets across the board including armor, mechanics, designs; again lacking job quests, lack of Limited Jobs, etc. Not to mention not upgrading their servers or error checking.

Eventually the people will realize that they are paying the same for less and less despite this being the best MMO since Tetris 99, but it took WoW almost 20 years, so your thread comes 10 years too early.

False, as proven by the BCoB's normal mode not being puggable, it's just that SE realized somewhere down the line that casuals spend more money for less content and of inferior quality so long as it makes them feel UwU.

False, it was a puggable thing you just had less opportunity to do outside of Party Finder, since the advent of cross-world in 3.5, that's just a player convenience. So the only tangible thing to do was PF on your world, or hope for the best with Duty Finder where it was even more of a raffle as to who you got and their competence.

    ???

bcob was savage difficulty, there was no "normal mode" and the savage mode for the second tier was an afterthought because too much people was bored and asked yoshida for harder content

lul you just joined the game this year so your probably just talking with youtube/wikipedia knowledge

and btw, there where pugs doing 1-4 floors since week 1 on hyperion, the only reason pugs weren't so popular is that for the first 2 months party finder didn't even exist and if you joined a normal party you wouldn't get a message when you join a higher floor so trolls liked to make "first floor pugs" and then enter floor 5 so you lost the lockouts for the first 4 floors for the rest of the week

We must have played a different game then, BCoB was the first raid in this game, people weren't as familiar with mechanics as they are today, we cleared BCoB back in the day with lazy and unreliable guildies where we had to replace someone with a random sometimes because people didn't show up as arranged, obviously we weren't in world first pace but we also didn't need to wait for echoes to clear these. Nowadays u have hundreds of guides available for savage raids and don't need Mr. Happys confusing 1 hour videos guides from back in the day to inform yourself.

Just wanna chime in here. As someone who has been playing since 1.0 We pugged Coil every week when the timers reset. Sure they weren't as easy as raids nowadays but at the time coil came out that was basically the then version of the most difficult game content.
The feedback on one side was that people wanted harder content and other people wanted a bit easier end game content.
So SE started giving more variety in terms of difficulty (Hard/Extreme/Savage)

    *EDIT*

Additionally I also wanna add that I am all for more variety in content. Having more choices is usually better. (Obviously this doesn't apply every time. Too many things can make things bloated and feel directionless)
But I don't get the derogatory description of casual players. Casual players are the bigger number of players. You might hear more from hardcore and serious players because those are usually the players who interact with the community who take time to read up on stuff and pitch ideas.
Not saying casuals don't do this but I am talking real casuals here. Those who don't read gaming news. those who play a game solely to play with their friends and just leave without making a post about it once they're done with a game.

And a lot of those people are people with jobs or a steady form of income. So they don't have or want to spend time on gaming. So yeah making the game accessible to that target audience is where a large chunk of their money comes from. But that is not a bad thing.
