Wait.. are we in agreement? Because it sounds like you are agreeing with my point. In case there's some confusion, I made my question that because people keep saying being timed is stressing them. But Everything in this game is timed. Everytime you enter in instance it's timed. I think the timed thing is an excuse and people just need to stop wanting games to baby them.

I loved the duty. It really put the situation into perspective and it was refreshing to have to stumble through the whole event, not quite knowing what to do but figuring it out eventually.

SE's fixation on time-limiting everything that moves made this the nightmare it is, SE KNOW time-limiting ratchets up anxiety in players who need time to think and serves no useful purpose whatsoever other than to do just that. It's unnecessary and player-hostile design, which infests this game in many places where is just don't belong.

Oh, and "The struggle might be painful but that just makes the reward that much sweeter at the end" for you maybe, for me it's "relief that that loathsome content is over".

I don't really get this complaint for this specific duty (or any of the instanced duties, honestly). If you run out the time - run it again? There is no one there to be disappointed or yell at you for not getting through this duty in time. If you have friends that you're leveling through MSQ with and they're giving you grief about it, find friends that aren't bullies lol.

I personally get the whole "timed content gives me anxiety" because that was very much me back when I played WoW with Mythic keystones. That was high stakes because it was the only way for people to get their best gear, and folks would often ragequit or complain when keys ran out. There's nothing like that in FFXIV that I've experienced.

Why the hell do we still need any content that’s easier than HW? This is 90s if you made it thru SoS and Dancing plague you should be able to be challenged more
