I loved it. It was one of the highlights of the MSQ.

I give up with you people. Forum community is absolutely unhinged. Imagine joining my alt's FC just to wait for me to come online to harass me lmao.
I enjoyed it. There are other things I enjoy less but I can't skip because most stuff is gated in various ways. So I dunno, everyone is different.

I enjoyed it, the atmosphere of the duty as you go through it enhanced the experience I had with the story from that point onwards. Also, gave a taste of the various hardships the untempered Garleans have to endure in order to survive in their burnt out home.
If I struggled with it and found it annoying, I would've just selected the "Very Easy" option and blown through it.
SE's fixation on time-limiting everything that moves made this the nightmare it is, SE KNOW time-limiting ratchets up anxiety in players who need time to think and serves no useful purpose whatsoever other than to do just that. It's unnecessary and player-hostile design, which infests this game in many places where is just don't belong.I know that the quest has caused some controversy and I can understand how some people would be frustrated by it. I sympathize but also see it as a great opportunity, how often do you really get to test yourself in these kind of games? Aside from high level raiding and extreme trials not very much. The struggle might be painful but that just makes the reward that much sweeter at the end. I urge anyone who has troubles with this quest not to give up or let it taint your view of the game as a whole. Persevere and you will be rewarded with a feeling of accomplishment. Best of luck to anyone still struggling with it. Don't give up on yourselves I know you can do it.
Oh, and "The struggle might be painful but that just makes the reward that much sweeter at the end" for you maybe, for me it's "relief that that loathsome content is over".

The time limiting didn't bother me. I couldn't even see the timer on my screen at first.
Initially when I played through it I was like "I don't like this", but once I finished it and thought back on it.....Ya it was fantastic and accomplished what it set out to do.
The people who complained about this quest being to hard were probably people who couldn't even complete a 1-2-3 combo. Not going to even sugar coat it.

Or they were listening to the radio. You do know they had those dragonscale talisman thingies right? Like Urianger calls it out to make sure people are under its protective influence. They even zoom in on some soldiers pulling them out and having them glow, the protective bubble appears...
Edit - Ohhh, I think you mean the refugees. Yeah they were moving through the area. They most likely weren't in the ruins when the cry went out.

I liked it. I enjoyed it![]()

I loved it for the MSQ reasons they did it, and i came to appreciate it even more after i finished it, funny enough i didnt even notice the timer until the last minite before the magitek exploded and we had to crawl, cause i was still shocked with how accurately they did the quest, garleans cant use aether so we had no proper abilities or healing etc. I wish they do stealthy stuff like that and Thancreds more.
