They've already nerfed the duty lol.

I enoyed it beside the fact that apparently the enemy can just tp you away at any given moment.
Why didn't they just do that 40 levels earlier or drop you into a pit of lava?
I always roll my eyes when they split up the character by teleporting someone out. It feels so cheap.

Because you had hydaelyn's protection which at this point is so weak she has to use a conduit to speak. They point this out specifically in ARR.

So do you not do dungeons? Trials, or raids? Not trying to be mean but everything is timed. :/SE's fixation on time-limiting everything that moves made this the nightmare it is, SE KNOW time-limiting ratchets up anxiety in players who need time to think and serves no useful purpose whatsoever other than to do just that. It's unnecessary and player-hostile design, which infests this game in many places where is just don't belong.
Oh, and "The struggle might be painful but that just makes the reward that much sweeter at the end" for you maybe, for me it's "relief that that loathsome content is over".
Hearing the crazys but I don't know why
Seeing the maybes but I don't know who
Hearing the crazys more and more
Noone stop LIMSAS BEATS!
I hated it, worst quest ever. But that's my opinion.

I liked it too.

As previously said, the point of the scenario was to be frustrating and difficult.
Gameplay wise it was unpleasant but accompanied with the story it emphasized the danger of your situation.
Also the crawling at the end of it totally reminded me of the Modern Warfare nuke scene.
The menacing aura of every Lalafell.

Gameplay that is designed to be frustrating is NOT good game design. That said, I did not find this to be frustrating or difficult...just extremely annoying... both in the gameplay aspects and especially in the story aspect. I'm left not giving a s**t about the rest of the story... or whether or not I will start skipping through the rest of the cutscenes just to get it over with and be done with it... bleh.
Even if this were just a cutscene.. I would still hate the story aspect...but at least I could have skipped it.
I find it absolutely hilarious people are down on it because they have to try, and trusts can’t tell them where to stand, and trial & 24 man people can’t raise then when they die. When your pampered to such a degree, of course the first inkling of trying is gonna feel like savage.
I liked it, though wish we got a better kit to work with but was a fun solo instances
