Will there ever be true raiding content in FF14?

This game isn't just yours, though. The game isn't made only of "casuals that left wow", more history and more players isn't variety in content. Plenty of people with a lot of different tastes are loyal to the game and allowed to give feedback on it instead of treating it as something perfect that should keep following the same formula ad infinitum.

Also, the game was open to you - but other wow players will ruin it? Please, drop that. You played that game as well, you're not better than the rest of the population that play or played it. Just because you didn't vibe with the gear grind doesn't make you special, nor a situation of them vs us. You don't speak for all casuals, I play this casually for years and still would love to see more variety. There's no "we" in your sentence, there's the personal opinion of someone with snowflake syndrome.

Story progression , lack of elitism, causal game play, story cohesion , yoshi p insight to not gate story is the reason me and many of my kind joined this game way back when.

what we are discussing here is slippery slope, these challenge type people I bet skip most story content. You try to please this bunch you need a raid content every 6 months.

Yes this game isn’t mine, but Once ff14 loses the core identity which I hope and believe will never happen because yoshi p to smart to try please this bunch if it becomes wow lite I will switch to next game and in 6 years you can come play that after this game become soulless husk like wow has become.

That's what you don't get, though. Saying "hey, maybe we can have stuff different than a circle arena?" or "hey, perhaps more variety in midcore content is possible?" ISN'T preaching for elitism (whatever that looks into your eyes). You keep thinking about wow and elitism over and over again and failing to see the bigger picture.

Yoshi-P is so smart that he literally copied the recipe that WoW made popular in order to bring FFXIV from the ashes. Sometimes, other games have good ideas. A lot of them do, even "failed" ones. You might have your grips with that game, but acting like any suggestion that refers to it automatically means that people want everything from it OR that people want ffxiv to be identical to it is narrow-minded.

And again, as someone that hates elitists you speak just like one, acting like any person that enjoys a good variety of challenges are part of this fantasy group of bad people that play wow that you created into your mind. At the end of the day, you're acting just like the people you dislike... Like another flip of the coin. Full of mindless hate. If your kind is full of prejudice like you are... they sort of sucks, if you ask me.

"Good" and "shit" are very subjective. Personally, I believe the dev team is very talented and can grab inspiration from a bunch of different games and create new solutions for FFXIV without losing FFXIV's touch - be it encounter design, challenge levels, whatsoever. For someone that appreciates the dev team so much, you clearly seem to think they're a bunch of incompetent people that will only keep adding more history and circled arenas and aren't capable of doing more without losing their own vision for game.

Hopefully they'll prove you wrong as well, since for me it would be sad to see FFXIV only catering to bitter, elitist and narrow-minded people.

You do realize that 14 has some of(if not the most) consistent raid content drop cycles. Droping a Raid/Extreme/Savage in less time than that. Even with Covid delays.

Never looked never bothered for me gear is what I think looks good most of gear I Galmour anyway , my WHM will always have his Cleric Glamour set regardless, sentimental value I suppose .Never cared much about raid progression also, I enjoy pugging and knowing different people that’s what I call MMO not the ChaLLange but that’s me,. Again I liked it more when ff14 wasn’t as mainstream as it is today but knowing yoshi p I think he knows his audience and won’t change much, that’s what I am hopping and praying.

The extremes that I clear with pugs are my biggest source of pleasure and pugging trials as my PLD and leading the team to victory. I helped at least 2 groups in First EW trial I just asked them to follow me and the pleasure and happiness I get when I unblock people so they can continue the STORY is what keep me playing this game.

was used as a gate for LFD/LFR in WoD.

PG was never used as a gate for LFR.

As for every spec being able to complete it, Blizzard THEMSELVES stated it WAS unbalanced and could not tune it properly.

Again, i was there. PG was recycled, unbalanced content. In MOP it was OPTIONAL.

In WOD..they made it mandatory, so they could point to it and say "look how popular it is"
