I meanThe hardest alliance raids have always been considered such because of the nature of the duty finder on the NA/EU servers and requiring some level of (randomly assigned) personal responsibility. Ozma, Cid, Scylla, Hashmal, to a lesser extent Forgall - the thing these all have in common is that they pick a number of semi-random players and tell them "you do this mechanic now or everyone dies." When there are 24 people thrown together randomly, there's a chance of people who have no clue what they're doing intersecting with those chosen to do that mechanic, and then everyone dies.
More "traditional" groups of raiders that are coordinated don't have anywhere near these kinds of problems with these same bosses. They can just converse with each other to know what to do if they're chosen, and easily all be ready at the same time. All of these notorious bosses for the duty finder groups are much easier for pre-formed groups than EX trials.
I'm well aware?
But I'm judging DF content by how hard it was to do in DF, and the fact that Goku Johnson thinks 4+4 is a prime number is proof enough that these fights were well above their contemporaries in difficulty.
Sorry, I wasn't trying to disagree, just clarify what you were saying and what some of the static raiders have been saying about difficulty. Like, there's different kinds of difficulty and that has context based on who's running it and how coordinated they are, not trying to make some absolute statement about what's hard and what's not.
Oh alright, I'm too used to people constantly trying to downplay how difficult things really are to most people.Sorry, I wasn't trying to disagree, just clarify what you were saying and what some of the static raiders have been saying about difficulty. Like, there's different kinds of difficulty and that has context based on who's running it and how coordinated they are, not trying to make some absolute statement about what's hard and what's not.
