    You don't appear to have even done any high-end content in this game, so I recommend doing that before judging the game's raids.

    FFXIV doesn't have addons like DBM to hold your hand on boss mechanics, while you could use ACT plugins to me that defeats the entire purpose of raiding. The best part of FFXIV is end game raids capture difficulty and fun without requiring voice communication/high coordination unless you're doing extreme raids.

    I’ll say this, the game does trials well and have been evolving naturally as the game ages, but I wouldn’t call them raids far from it.

    The 24 man raids and dungeons are more raids thematically and the closest they got to getting the true blue said experience is Baldesion Arsenal. They can very easily sew the 4 bosses in the 8 man trials (raids but not really) into a hardy area or even just have it be only 3 and leave the final one be a traditional trial

    I’m really shocked it’s been so stagnate that they’ve not done anything new with this formula, more annoyed that with Covid they have a never ending excuse for mediocrity and flatlining.

All of these notorious bosses for the duty finder groups are much easier for pre-formed groups than EX trials.

    I'm well aware?

    But I'm judging DF content by how hard it was to do in DF, and the fact that Goku Johnson thinks 4+4 is a prime number is proof enough that these fights were well above their contemporaries in difficulty.

    Some have mentioned Delubrum Reginae Savage, I have cleared that content and it was certainly enjoyable! But still I would not say that is WoW style raid.. it is just a harder alliance raid. Props to the discords and organisers for setting them up, teaching and shot calling! I hope to go do Baldesian Arsenal at some point too
    Not everyone who wants "Wow-styled raids" comes from WoW nor are the raids the reason why WoW has failed spectacularly.

    For the record I have literally never touched WoW beyond like the first few levels and I want "WoW-style raids" whatever that means. The current raiding paradigm that we have is stale for four years now.

    I'm enjoying the raids they have, I don't think they need to do anything different. At least for me, I absolutely love how they keep this game casual. That's what killed WoW for me, they gave up on the casual player and the 5 people that live in this house switched games, and we are having more fun now than we have had in the last 4 years in WoW. Keep up the awesome job, love this game.

    I agree I would love to see more variety beyond boss in square, but saying "no real mechanics, no adds to manage, no interrupts needed, no buff/debuff mechanics, no special assignments for players" is straight up just plain wrong and shows how little raiding you have actually done.
