First: The queues.
Then: The disconnects. (9006 Errors, then lobby server errors.)
Afterward: No renaming service. No world transfer service. Friends can't buy the game.
Next: No audio after logging in but every other game and application is just fine after waiting in a 1k queue. Close the client for twenty seconds: Now it's a 2k queue or I had to play with no sound whatsoever being visually impaired.
You know, I was trying to be patient. I was trying really hard to be understanding about the semiconductor shortages, that no one could prepare for the influx of players:
But the cold hard truth is while that may be factual: There could be an emergency patch put into place to fix some things. Square Enix could have called NTT to have them fix the 9006 errors due to their faulty hop. There are a lot of things that could have, and should have been done right away. Bad sound driver? Why wasn't that fix brought in an emergency patch? It should have been. I know they'd have to pay money for an unexpected patch given that the game is cross-platform: But considering there's been a 160% increase in sales this expansion - I think the funds are there.
For four days now I haven't been able to play other than insanely early morning (2-3am CST) Due to the NTT Disconnects, and now after not having had an audio issue whatsoever, I suddenly have NO SOUND other than system sounds and background music. (Yes, my sounds are turned on.)
I've been playing since 2015 but I'm literally not going to pay to be denied basic services for characters, to have to sit in a 2k queue all over again because I had to close my client due to FAULTY SOUND DRIVERS (And not MY drivers but the game's drivers.)
Maybe I'll resub when things have actually been fixed. This is too much, even for me. I can only imagine what it's like for people who work and aren't sitting at home disabled.
