I thought the Neir raid was the hardest allied raid I have done. I constantly die to things in there that I dont even know what happened. Over and over again. Never have this problem in any of the other allied raids. I can admit its me, I can admit im bad, thats fine. But its still my experience and it is what it is. Never any trouble in Ivalice.

I can see why you never tried the harder versions and have 0 savage clears.
I think what this proves is that when talking about raids two sides of this thread are talking about different things. The OP specifically was talking about how alliance raids are garbage and easy and how this game's idea of "raid" are 8man boss arenas. People brought up the Nier raids as being hard or Cid being hard or math being hard - all alliance raids. Then some others are saying go do savage. The person you quoted specifically mentioned Dun Scaith and you're talking about savage.

The point is that we have no hard form of 24man content designed for the jobs as they are. Delubrum exists but it's more designed around specific actions. There is no solid option for those of us who like big raids and there never will be. For that matter, there's no solid option for harder 4-man content either. I grew up raid healing 25 player raids in WoW and running hard mode dungeons for achievements in my off-raid times. That doesn't exist here.

You may go look at my clears now and see that I don't do Savage and there are a couple of reasons for this.
    1. I mostly got progression out of my system a long time ago.
    2. Healing and fights in general feel very scripted and I don't get the rush or full-time healing experience that I did from old WoW or SWTOR.
    3. The rewards in this game just aren't enticing enough for me to deal with 1 and 2. There are no trinkets or weapons with unique effects. It's all just stat increases and the ability to dye gear that is usually ugly. Then the mounts are really hit or miss and you can't even use mounts in places where people could see them so what's even the point?

I didn't know the ivalice and nier raids had harder versions
    how do I unlock them?
and if you were talking about the HW savage raids - why would I do them as a casual player? I have no interest in them, not to mention that there was zero indication you were talking about the savage versions in the first place

cute of you to look up my name on that site, though, totally not creepy and also a shame it doesn't invalidate my points
did your main get banned or why are you shitstirring on an alt, despite apparently being a long time player?

not just that, I quoted him talking about dun scaith, hence him jumping to the savage thing out of nowhere is funny, but expected of them

I will put the dorito on my head. Follow me and I promise you won't die...

Well you might die once or twice because sometimes I forget that I'm guiding people and do things like nullify knockbacks when I know full well that not everyone knows Arm's Length and Surecast can do that. It takes a moment for my brain to rewire itself to actually respect mechanics.

And this is exactly why I gave up doing 8-man raid content. Same sh*t different circle. Every time.
Bozja's Delebrum Reginae Savage was decent. Everyone had their own way to sort out mechanics that couldnt easily be called out by one person, and you had to know the duty actions and where to use them. It was strategic. Just a shame that the size of the players meant it was inaccessible to many, and then those who zerg'd it to death in the first month grew bored of it and didnt stick around to help the new guys. That said, I'd still encourage YoshiP to make more of that style of raids.

Would rather not have raids that are 80 minutes of trash pulls followed by a boss that is mathematically impossible to kill, thx.

I mean, I wouldn't be opposed to more accessable content like DRS (8man cap, no ridiculous pre-raid prep grind)
I would love to go on a challenging adventure with my static. :T

Incredibly basic maths that you get way, way too much time for is something you consider challenging?

Did you drop out of elementary school or something? I know some people aren't good at maths in general, but everyone can count to 10, lmao.

I'm not sure what would make a raid better. The bosses keep getting more interesting as time goes by and they do get very difficult. Ultimate trials are insane and it really puts a strain on your life force irl lool

I really like the ones where I have to continuously doge, use rescue and heal others, throwing in a few attacks all the while dodging a ton of markers on the ground. I love those ones. There's a degree of satisfaction for surviving all of that while doing your job that can't really be explained. Well, that's how I feel about it anyway. I welcome any improvements to raids / trials and hope they continue to make them better. I detest dungeons with a passion but raids/trials can be fun.
