Yet people are now advertising actively that they're using them in PF so the intent to scrutinise is there.

Exactly what SE said not to do.

I personally won't join PF groups like that because I know for sure what kind of environment it will be and I'm not interested in listening to someone raging at someone else for maybe being Blue numbers instead of Purple.

Because that's what groups like that do.

And yet, that still isn't toxic. A person joining said group goes in with the expectation that a bare minimum will be required. People are creating these situations that haven't even occured yet, due to previous games. Harassment is still not allowed. People aren't going to magically start being toxic over numbers simply because talking about them is allowed.
