Realistically, when will the 2002 and que issue be resolved?

No idea when it will be fixed, maybe summer next year. But i would suggest they fix the que rather sooner than later or they will lose a ton of people and subs (money) because people are not willing anymore waiting hours until they can log in day, after day, after day. Maybe getting new servers for a higher price would be cheaper than loosing thousand of subs because people cant play.

FFXIV is witnessing the highest server load since operation of the game started. Its difficult atm, its frustrating, its, i know.
There will be days, where things will be back to normal. It'll probably take longer then usual this time around with all the shit that is happening atm.

crossing my fingers. They've been an icon of customer service since XIV started off clunky, but they did an overhaul the likes that are only outdone by No Mans Sky. I'm just hoping things are taken care of soon. I haven't even beaten the realm reborn storyline yet!

Been having a rough few days, and have been a little overwhelmed with real life stuff. Oh Hyperion, the ques are easily still in the thousands. I usually play the game at night to help me wind down, and the que is so long that by the time I'm 3/4 to the goal of being first, i'm dreadfully exhausted, if the que isn't interrupted with the errors.

I'm glad that FFXIV is popular, and I'm glad there will be many more people to play with, but as it stands, the game is borderline unplayable, and I've only managed to play maybe 4 hours this week. My optimism is dying down, and being replaced with frustration.

In short: Realistically, when will this game be fixed and playable again?

the game itself is VERY playable. the problem is currently getting in.

teh queue will likely be around for a while.

the errors, they said they have a hard time tracking it down. given if they cannot reliably replicate the error, it makes it far more difficult. given people have varying degrees of internet connectivity which can also affect it, that adds in another variable. everyone says "prior to early access I logged in fine" of course you did. chances are you werent in a queue long enough to notice a problem.

given this is affecting people on heavily populated servers, I imagine it actually is a priority for resolution. but, as to timeframe, anyones guess if they cant figure out the exact cause.

I forgot where I heard it from, but the 2002 error has got some sort of bizarre non-meaning behind it. I gotta find the details, but it's surprising.

In the EU it is a big problem. Our queues decrease roughly at 1,5k per hour. If you have a 6k queue then you wait ~4 hours. At this point the 2002 error can occur ~16 times because the client closes the connection to the lobby server ever 15 minutes.

Yes, can confirm the 1,5k per hour. Yesterday i was 2700 in queue, went for a shower, then came back to a 2002 error and 5900 in queue. I really don't blame anyone, but since i'm not fully enjoying the game in this current situation, i think i'll take a 2-3 weeks break.

I don't care about Yoshi-P's marketing prattle or arguments built around it. I care about the technical side of this issue. Forcibly disconnecting every 15 minutes without a proper reconnect functionality is from a technical standpoint a real mess. And this mess is already in the client for years. And i doubt that they will fix it. I guess, they hope that the new servers will arrive as quick as possible and then the mess will never occur. But it will occur, see Murphy's law.
