Can we have a quest to obtain an Archon mark?

You can get sharlayan goggles at the gold saucer. They have a cool glow effect when you visor up. There's also a face tattoo like uriangeir you can put on and then give it that deep purple/violet color

Yeah, but that's not the same as the goggles that several of the Scions used back in ARR. I think only Krile still carries hers now, on her sleeve.

I agree with OP, getting access to the Archon marks would be an awesome addition.

And now I'm curious, what about the title itself? That would also be rather delightful...

(I don't ever recall seeing it as an option in any lists I've read online)

My understanding is the twins left before they could go for an Archon mark. Thancred's is in espionage, stealth, stuff like that.

I wouldn't be surprised if the twins get theirs sooner or later. If Alisaie gets the credit for discovering the cure for tempering it might be a small formality of her just writing a paper about it. (Might be a nice twist if she ends up getting one before Alphi via Matoya or someone telling the studium about her efforts to reverse tempering.)

That being the case, I can see Alisaie never getting hers specifically because it would involve writing a paper about it.

Though also at this point, I'm not sure the twins see it as all that important. They seem to care more about the positive impact of their actions rather than the title that they could hold in society.

Also quite likely. I dont think they'd get one unless there was an actual reason to (getting into those archives mayhaps?)

I did my dissertation on interspecies and intercultural non-verbal communication across multiple dimensions. I'm sure the Faculty of Anthropology would appreciate that as a useful area of knowledge.

My brain backfired when reading and I thought you were asking for the Ascian masks of energy they use when stuff is about to get real lol. Which I was like ... yoooo... that'd be cool, something like the legacy tattoo you can turn on and off that shows up during battle.

Then I realized you said Archon, which I still think could go under the legacy tattoo system though. Honestly it would be neat if there were quests and unlocks for special ways to customize your character post character customization. Like in ShB after getting too full on light you might unlock special light aspected eyes, or something. All the customizations can go under there and limit X customization (1?).

Though the idea does line up a bit with another desire I had which was cosmetic and role play merit system akin to a sphere or license grid, where-in you could customize and further unlock roleplay of your job (like dragoon can turn on high jump, which passively increases their jump height in zones they've unlocked flying, another unlock would be to null their fall damage, dark knight could unlock that HW smokey shadow effect for their aura, etc, etc). Then maybe you've the job grids, and one general that has things like unlocked options (like the FFX has unlocks) via MSQ, and other general concepts like perhaps FFXV inspired camping (build a fire, earn a buff, greatly increase duration of food in the open world, etc).

A+ thesis topic. The thesis defense panel would also have accepted "I Have Been To Other Dimensions And Also The Moon, But Sure I Suppose I Can Go To A Rival Academic Institution With All That Info", or "I Just Saved The World -- AGAIN -- You Ungrateful Jackasses".

Possibly also "Fandaniel Ate My Homework".

Intern is a little generous. We're just the weapon they reach for when something big needs killing.

Well there's an Under-Archon title. Came from the HW MSQ if memory serves me. So you can always pretend your character is working on their thesis.
