70USD only for episode (part) 1, not the full game. They don't know how many parts they will released.Games are mostly cheaper now. I know many people will intuitively reject this, but intuition is often wrong.
The Legend of Zelda cost $50 in 1986. Adjusting for inflation, that would be about $126 today. While other things have become more expensive, games are a rare bright spot in the economy as they have become relatively less expensive, largely because of digital distribution. And this is even while they have become more elaborate than ever before.
So about that FF7 remake being $70. It was originally released in 1997 when it cost $50. $70 in 2021 is only $40 in 1997.

When I see stuff like YouTube showing me streamer Zepla is already finished Endwalker MSQ, I'm raging and basically ready to endorse this or anything else.
My preferred solution is aerial bombardment of everything everywhere all the time.
Palpatine for Chancellor!
True. I did say games are "mostly" a better value now, sigh. What is it about remakes that makes them a total cash grab and value sink? Like, the ongoing saga of the recent GTA remakes being total laughable garbage is far better than the games themselves.
The streamers log in in the morning, when the queues don't suck, because they've monetized playing video games for a public audience as their job. I don't begrudge them that - entertaining people is difficult, and monetizing your hobby is a hell of a lot more work than most people realize.
