OP is other thread claiming his 2002 problem is fixed by VPN, will that work for you?I know. But I cant pull out a nail and a hammer and fix my internet, some of us are not as lucky as others with respect to the speed, performance, and reliability of internet connections due to a number of factors such as geographical location, Internet Service Provider, etc. I am not blaming square enix for my disconnects either, I am simply highlighting the fact that a grace period for people that disconnect would be a very nice quality of life feature...especially during peak hour gaming.
By the way, this disconnect never bothered me before because its been a long while since FFXIV faced so many queue times. Once EW hype dies down, I suspect the same will happen and things will go back to normal. But it is at least worth considering by Square Enix.
Note: This is exactly why I prefaced my initial post with the statement "I know what other people will say, fix the internet issue." Because I am aware of it, but am proposing that Square Enix could also help alleviate the pressure from people that disconnect. I'm sure you can see the merit in that request?
