EU's got it rough, to be sure. But, lacking any solutions (based in reality) to the player population doubling (or more) in the past year or two, faster than they could've reacted to even under ideal conditions, there's little help for it.
However, SE can't really be held responsible for players' "possible time window." That's kinda a player responsibility thing. So to some measures to appease customers: As long as those problems exists, people need to accumulate free days without even asking. I mean if people can not log in during their possible time window, they realistically are locked out of the game. However, this is very far from enough. People are going to be really, really unhappy about this kind of prolonged, bad situation. Thus there needs be a really big "something" extra.
am I missing something?yes I did suffer like everyone else from the 2002 problem on day 1-2, but after that it became smoother. Im from leviathan too so i usually get 5000-6000 whenever i try to login but for 4days now havnt encountered 2002 and last time i encountered a 2002, server saved my spot. so its really probably your connection
Well, I am on EU, so all my experience is from there. Then I am on Shiva. Dunno about the actual size. But queues overall were something that was - if they existed at all - more like a some-second delay for the overall login process.
Right now though, if you do not queue in early, you just can not play. And expecting people to queue early is neither fair in regards of their time and even starting to get absurd when it comes for people that are not at home before evening.
Talking about this topic - that there are paying customers that actually are locked out of playing - is something I actually deem rather important. And though I might repeat myself with this, I say it again: No apology or reasoning or whatever will suddenly make it "all right" when a part of the population that is paying for a service and is paying for an expansion is locked out of it until "further notice". That is just wrong.
And to add something of a compensation that actually might be something that works: reimburse days lost.
People that quit their subscription because it doesn't make sense for them to play already miss out on playing the expansion early. And on early access. Now saying: hey, even though you don't want to play under those circumstances - even though you CAN not even play under those circumstances - here is some extra days - fine, right? No, it absolutely is not.

To me they should hold off on opening that new data centre and send em to EU and fix our conjestion xD

So what are you asking for exactly? I would have thought a refund was exactly what was required to recompense anyone who is unable to log in. I have been fortunate - I booked time off from work for EA and advised my family (husband and 3 children) that I would only be available in an emergency for those 3 days. Since then I've logged in when I could, done other things while queued, dealt with queue kicks when they happened (although they have happened much less since last Monday on the Chaos DC). Some days, very little play time. Other days, more. If I hadn't been able to log in at all, yes, a refund of my subscription sounds like a reasonable ask. But apologies, I'm not sure what else is due to you in these circumstances. Maybe SE can offer something to bolster player goodwill, but I don't think demanding compensation beyond a subscription refund is appropriate. Kinda sounds a bit greedy tbhWell, I am on EU, so all my experience is from there. Then I am on Shiva. Dunno about the actual size. Classic working adult with a working hubby, 6 kids.
in a week we made time to get to 90. But I took the week off work.
And my hubby works 3-11 Monday to Friday.
I work 8 to 5 Monday to Friday.
I didn't use all my holidays this year. So it worked out.
We had 8:30ish to 2:30 every day.
Another perk was no queue.
I knew there would be queues. I've been playing since the beta of 1.0
In the past, you could trick the queue. And the servers would get lag and crash at a time dropping everyone this is better for the people getting on.

Commendations.
If I play dps I only give it out to other dps.
If I play tank I only give it out to healers.
If I play healer I only give it out to tank.
Only if they should be getting a commendation.
There are always exceptions to the rules!
I honestly haven't been able to play at all since early release. But in SE's defense the past two days I haven't had power and it looks like I won't have any for the next two days. I still wouldn't be able to login as I get off at prime time and sleep during the time I could login. But screw me working a 9 to 5 right? But I don't have power and I'm gonna have to throw away my groceries so I've got bigger fish to fry than worrying about SE ripping me off $15.
