So... let me say what's already been said over a dozen times as well.. you realize there are very real problems in the world right now that are directly responsible for why Yoshi P and team couldn't prevent this, despite trying to for the last 7 or so months, right?
Yes, your frustrations, all of our frustrations, are entirely valid. But just like many others, you're entirely flying by just why the queue times are what they are.
Do not make lame excuses... They could use the Cloud, even if temporarily !!
Even *if* that is an option, that requires service agreements, backup plans, almost certainly some kind of NDA to protect their IP, and it'd almost certainly require some kind of extended maintenance to move the player data to the new centers. That is IF they are able to find a provider capable of meeting the demands that it takes to run a FFXIV game server. And then, they'd need to have plans to move the data off if it's a "temporary" option.
