Yes I would love any news regarding male viera names. I’m ready to change my name but I would like to the know the lore before doing so in case there was some cool additional info we might miss.

Hope they release the information before we can name change. My bunby is starting to meow at people.
Much to think about indeed.
Kinda piggybacking off of some of the other ideas in this thread, maybe Djt- and Rehw- mean mentor or apprentice, and the suffixes are either professions/specialties (archer, mage, apothecary, etc) or descriptions of territory? I'm given to understand that Veena and Rava share a similar culture, though, so it would be odd for the Veena not to denote whether one is a mentor or apprentice the way the Rava do. So maybe the prefixes mean "stayed in this forest" or "left this forest," or maybe they designate northern versus southern territory, or...something.
The Veena -wesfv suffix? Totally clueless on that one. My first instinct was to wonder if maybe it meant "apprentice of," with the first part of it being the name of one's mentor, but none of the prefixes are present in the forename pool, meaning that isn't a feasible possibility. My other guess was maybe it refers to settlements. Each surname being the name of a common camp, with -wesfv either meaning "resident of" or just "camp" or...something. Or maybe they're professions, too.
Either way I think it's very interesting that the differing naming conventions seem to imply a different culture. But I could be way off base with that assumption.
I think you may be on to something regarding the prefixes, since the only distinct cultural difference we know of between Rava and Veena is that Veena are generally more accepting of their people leaving the Wood. I've also discovered in my "research" that each clan has exactly ten possible surnames (five for Rava, with two prefixes), which lends to the 'societal role' or 'territory' theories... At this rate my brain's going to turn to juice from all the speculating.Much to think about indeed.

If it helps, I went through and randomised the names a couple hundred times and found that there are twelve different surnames for Rava and Veena both.I think you may be on to something regarding the prefixes, since the only distinct cultural difference we know of between Rava and Veena is that Veena are generally more accepting of their people leaving the Wood. Does anyone got a list of the first names that are chosen when you press random during character creator for Veena's? I know back in Shadowbringers there was a google doc of all the possible Male Hrothgar random names and all the Female Viera random names.
I made a spreadsheet with as many as I could muster within an hour of randomizing (now with the missing additions provided in an above reply), though it's sure not to be all of them. I'd guess that Rava and Veena share the same list, but I separated them by clan just in case.
How long does it usually take for them to release naming convention information? The Forename is easy enough but I'd really like to know what these Surnames mean before I choose one.
ShB was released on the 2nd of July and the Viera Naming Convention was on the 22nd, so about 3 weeks - but we can't be sure whether it'll take the same length of time.
