    I ran into the same issue. To complete the quest, I swam down to the babe and used the F12 (Target Nearest NPC or Object) and NUM0 (Confirm) keybindings.

    Hope this helps all of those who get stuck at this point.

    Just double tap NUMPAD 0 to do the same thing
