Doubtful. However, I would love it if we could flag ourselves for PVP if you wanted to. Heck, I would even be happy for the ability to challenge someone to duel out side of the Wolves Den.

Open world PvP has historically been proven as undecidedly unpopular. New World attempted it their first beta and were absolutely flooded with complaints. Turns out the overwhelming majority of players don't like being ganked randomly by some random stranger looking to troll them. Shocking, I know. Therefore, a server dedicated to this would be completely wasteful as few would want to be on it. The best they could do is an opt-in flag but that just isn't suit the type of game or audience FFXIV strives for.
"Stand in the ashes of a trillion dead souls and ask the ghosts if honor matters."
"The silence is your answer."

Knowing SE if they ever do full pvp zones, it'll have all sorts of penalties...
A Bozja like zone dedicated to PvP would be fun. It could be an alternative way to earn Wolfmarks, where you can do quests or PvP to earn them and maybe rank up to earn old feast rewards no longer available. But it should stay that pvp rewards for pvp and should stay completely optional.

Open world pvp favours only people that find satisfaction in others misfortune.
FFXIV is nothing like BDO where you have open world pvp being actually good and not macro spam on a single button. There is no depth in ffxiv pvp mode. I definitely don’t see a reason to have open world pvp enabled in this game.
Also the Devs didnt really know what to do that game and I still dont think they know lol. The main issue with Open world PvP is that most games do not know what to really do with it and dont offer much anything as rewards unless they do like a loot drop but that typically not pop at all even by a lot of hardcore PvP base since again most companies dont know how to do open world PvP and also does not implement a good system to punish people either camping undergear players or low lvls
I just wish that they did offer better PvP options for those that want PvP. I miss Rising Force Online PvP and old school L2 =P

Open world pvp is not existing anymore in wow, pvp flagged is only used for the bonus you get ingame. So why get open world pvp in FF 14? Nobody would like to have this. More battle grounds would be nice, large ones like alterac for example, that would be fun.

It could be fun to get add like Guild Wars 2 and the Tri-faction RvR. a dedicated zone with Attack/Defense on a whole map, where you can create/destroy walls and stuffs.

Il est possible de dépassé la limite des 1ooo caractères, il suffit d'éditer son post ~
