The ones I listed aren't PGL-exclusives to begin with. No reason they wouldn't be available since they specifically said that the actions from the two classes required for a job quest would be part of the job. Yeah, yeah, we'll see the details next week, but this is based on the actual information we were given... instead of just assumptions.

They never explicitly said that all the actions from the secondary class would be available, or that those woule be the only ones accessible.

A JP rep simply responded that a user was on the right track when asking if we'd be limited to 5 cross class skills instead of 10 or limited in which classes we can take from. Nothing explicit there. Certainly no suggestion that even if limited in classes, that we are limited only to the sub class.

You must have missed the part where they explicitly said:

You have the marauder as a background class before you become a paladin. Those kind of class abilities will be connected to the paladin job.

Summary: The actions available to the secondary Lv.15 class required for a job quest will be available for said job. In this example, he's making a pretty straight-forward implication that Paladin will have access to Heavy Swing, Foresight, Brutal Swing, Bloodbath, Skull Sunder, and Provoke. (All Lv.1~15 MRD non-exclusive actions)

Now, replace "Marauder" with "Pugilist" and replace "Paladin" with "Black Mage" and you might see what I mean...

You have the pugilist as a background class before you become a black mage. Those kind of class abilities will be connected to the black mage.

That's why it's a logical conclusion, based on this information, to expect at least some of: Pummel, Featherfoot, Second Wind, Concussive Blow, and Blindside to be part of Black Mage's arsenal... which doesn't sound right. These are only Lv.1~15 Pugilist actions that are not even exclusive. No one said anything about every Pugilist action being available, just the cross-class-capable ones within the level range required for unlocking the job... but none of them really fit Black Mage's intent in the first place.

You're making quite the jump to a conclusion from that simple statement - a statement so outdated that it still suggests MRD to be the sub for PLD, when in actuality it is CNJ. That aside, the statement itself implies a connection at best with their abilities. It in no way goes into such detail as allowing one to take skills under lv 15 from that sub class, and that sub class only. That is a connection you yourself are making, not found in evidence.

In actuality, each job may be limited to certain classes that they can take abilities from - and without any level restriction. Simply restricted in which classes and/or number of skills.

In the end, I won't accept something as fact until there's concrete evidence.
