Maybe it's not about the money but rather the principle that we paid for a product we can't use.Players who can't afford a $50 expansion shouldn't be spending the money if they come immediately crawling for refunds following such small inconveniences. Once you're past the log in queues, the game runs perfectly fine and smoothly. You can even just launch the game at non-prime hours and get no queue at all. Free compensation is great, all for it, but if you're starving because you lost $50 on endwalker then please go outside and look for employment. On that note, yes, they should give you a refund, YOU specifically, because I think you need it.
So like half these threads wouldn't have been made if they just read the notes. They are giving us 7 days of game time AND WILL CONTINUE TO DO SO IF THE PROBLEM CONTINUES. I get not able to play right away but this type of stuff happens. I would also like to inform anyone thinking of refunding the expansion should do so carefully because just like any other MMO if you refund your account is perma banned/suspended.
While I don't want a refund, I could certainly understand anyone that wants one at this point. I've seen less severe issues absolutely torpedo launches before. I think it's weird that people in the FFXIV community are so fervent about attacking people voicing their complaints here. It's a forum. This is one of it's intended uses. Also, to the person being caustic about someone's need for 50 bucks and suggesting their intimated poverty as some character flaw: gross. Like morally, fundamentally gross.



I'm pretty sure you don't know what you are talking about. First they never said anything about including a continuous free game time outside of the 7 days. Next If SE offered a refund on said product, they would give you your money back and void out the product key. The reality is simple mathematics, the game has more players than it can support and the only current solution is to shed players. Offering refunds, be it Endwalker expansion or The Complete Edition, is a way that unsatisfied players can stop playing without a bad taste in their mouth. Maybe they'll come back after things calm or maybe they won't. Point is it gives power to the players to leave FFXIV and SE on good terms in case they do want to come back later.
I personaly they quit with excuses and just attempt to fix this, i just sat in a 2 1/2 hour Queue just to be kicked out 5 min. Into the game and forced into a 4,500 Queue. Is SE was one of the under paid companies with under paid workers and this was a new experience for the, that would be understandable but its not , we go through the same routine every 2 years or big patch release. Refunds for all is a GREAT idea. But a better idea is for the devs to just get issues like this resolved. I Bet the servers are very fast when it comes to processing Payments !.
Agreed but thats like that with any gameit will have gamers behaving like cult members and attack anyone and everyone of course Behind the comfort of their computers
No matter how much money you have you can't throw it at hardware that doesn't exist in a large enough quantity right now. World wide shortages mean we're going to have delays, queues, and server instability, just gotta live with that and suck it up for the time being.

Because we have paid for a game to play now... geez. So you are happy to pay for something.. and never receive it. Its a Monthly Sub... and we are not getting what we paid for. I don't mind the log-in times.. its that 2002 error.. and then you have to start at the back of the que. BTW can I sell you the Sydney Harbour Bridge?






Don't think refunds are coming through the forums. They aren't doing it unless you try to request it through steam or the SE store.
