Global semi conductor shortage. You want to be angry at anyone, be angry at Silicon Valley for shutting down the automated semiconductor factories during COVID.They had months to purchase equipment.
Yes, trying to get new hardware because they NOW recognize their shortsightedness is not an excuse.
I'm not upset with the people maintaining the networks. I'm just annoyed with the managers and those making the purchasing decisions.
A lot of companies are afraid to invest in extra hardware because they feel that "after the initial burst" the usage will level off and then they're stuck with a lot of extra servers that will depreciate in value over time.
Monday Diablo is open season 25 GUESS WHERE I'LL BE ?????????????
Waiting in the queue like everyone else, now there is no sound. Either I start queue over or go on. Decisions, decisions
If the instabilities persist that far, it's very likely.
wait for the 2002, and use that to relog.
If you use some form of automatic payment then they will adjust your renewal date by 7 days. Also Yoshi-P stated that it could be more depending on circumstances
So yeah they should continue to expend it until it's resolve. Anway they took all the subscription now they need to deal with it if you ask me they should have limited the numbers of copie and subscription they was fully aware their serveurs could not manage it.Furthermore, we may give additional free game time depending on further developments on the congestion situation. The timing at which the free game time will be provided, as well as any additional extensions, will be announced at a later time. We truly appreciate your cooperation and patience regarding the congestion situation.
Years of time to plan ahead for this, long before the "shortage" because the world decided to treat a runny nose like Black Plague 2.0.
while the apology is appreciated, this launch has been anything other then a complete disaster and the game hasn't even officially launched yet either imagine what it will be when dec 7 comes around. Out of the days of early access, i have been able to play fri and sunday. Sunday mind you logging in around 10am or so. I very much doubt ill get anything accomplished on mon and the hell that is sure to come tues. Even with covid i do think this could have been avoid by launching when the servers were ready not now since there are simply too many trying to log in and stay loged in. We should be able to keep our place in que and not have 2002 kick us out and and be able to stay logged on without a 9006 error kicking us out. I can not play with that disconecting symbol comes on. I usually log out when that happens. Unless you get these servers sooner rather than later there will be no rest from this constant 2002 and 9006 error. I honestly can see this leading to suspending of auto house demo and maybe a free month. I will say you should of seen this coming with the clogs being seen at the end of shadow bringer. Covid or no preparations should of been made at that time. I would not of minded waiting to avoid this launch far worse than hw, ex rahbaun and shdowbringers.
You seem to be massively underestimating the time it takes to go from "we need new hardware" to "new hardware is installed." Planning, proposals, approvals, budget allocation, ordering, shipping, acquisition, installation, etc, etc. Mind you, much of this process had already been rolling for the new data center meant to be online by now. In other words, even if they had magical foresight to get started on all of that right after planning OCE, even if they weren't hit with supply shortages and travel restrictions, new hardware for existing data centers still wouldn't have been implemented at this time.
My only real gripe about the queue issue is, it crashes back to desktop after the 2002. Then I have to wait for the game to load, log back in, click start and hope I get in the queue. Not that big of a gripe, but it's an issue.
