I see a lot of people saying 'they should have seen this coming'. They did. In the same way a stalled car sees the train coming.

They saw the unprecidented growth numbers. They admitted, not just to us but to shareholders, they would attempt to acquire equipmented. That equipment just doesn't exist, not at any price.

Unfortunately, the Pandemic is still causing very real consequences. It's not an excuse, no matter how tired you are of hearing it, it's a reason. Many industries, not just video games, are having issues. The fact of the matter is they're likely on a list to buy servers. Why did other games get their servers? Simple, they were either higher up the list or likely had those servers waiting to be repurposed from other projects.

They said that if the servers hit 17000 log in requests at once it would give people a 2002 error. That's what we are seeing. However, the grace period to reconnect seems broke as some people manage to recover and log in while others end up at the back of the line. That needs fixed. But outside of that issue the servers are incredibly stable for a launch.
