I'm just here to listen to y'all cry.

Yeah i played for an hr when expansion dropped and was to tired so i logged and went to bed. Tried for 10 hrs today and couldn’t get through the que once.i have no issue with long wait times, but the ques are broken.
Oddly enough, I logged on at around 7 am CST on Friday to a queue of 35 on Zalera. At 7:20 am on Friday the queue was lower than that (Fantasia requires a log out). I logged on to Faerie around 9 am to a queue of about 50, and 15 minutes later I logged back in to a queue that was under 20 (Fantasia again).
This morning I logged on to Gilgamesh around 5:30 am to a queue under 50.
The only time I've had a problem with queue of about 2,000 (and a single disconnect) was Friday evening around 9 pm CST ... prime time, so to speak.
Your experience will vary. OP's use of the term "White Knight" in the derogatory sense, appears to be based on people whose experiences are different from theirs. Use of the term is deliberately meant to stifle opposing comments.

So when do the children stop blaming a game company for supply chain issues in hardware production?

A company that expands its server capacity when there is no anticipated demand for such an expanded capacity is not a company that will be around for long. The mass influx of players and the pandemic were not anticipated.
If the mass influx of players happened at launch I would accept this reasoning. They know what there subscriber and active player levels are. They have launched multiple expansions and have seen the numbers in the past to make a logical estimation as to what would happen. This is a multi-billion dollar company this is not Yoshi-P and a small dev team. Matter of fact in there apology they stated there are 25 million subscribers and the log in servers will only allow 17000 players per log in server. Is you just assume for simple math there is 1 log in server. This would mean the queue would have to cap out about 1470 for every subscriber to log in once. You can take this further as it appears the log in servers are tied to the data center which totals 8 data centers. Assuming all servers are distributed evenly (in reality they aren't) this would still mean each data center queue would have to cap 183 times for all 25 million subscribers to log in once. I don't work for SE so I do not have all the exact details but there is a simple example of what I can do and where you can see issues using the simple numbers we have been provided. The actual issue most players are running into though is the way the fail safe was implemented. For some reason when the threshold is met it begins kicking people out of the queue rather than preventing access to the queue at max. When you are kicked out of the queue you now have the issue of getting back into the queue with in the allotted time SE decided upon to keep your spot in queue. These are all issues that could have been prevented and should have been prevented specially when the game was delayed for QA purposes.
Never. It's my experience, that the people white knighting are the same people that can be found sitting in town with a macro on to use an emote every so often, or running into a wall to avoid having to deal with said queues and 2002s then come to white knight when the people playing by the rules get fed up and vent. It'll be nice if Squeenix decides to go back to the rolling resets to get rid of those folks so they can sit and suffer like the rest of us, or god forbid let the queues go faster.

I mean OP is level 81. They've obviously been able to play a little bit lol
