So... as much as we all hoped that they will unlock everything at once, where do they say that they will add everything at once? Unless I'm blind - they didn't. I get the feeling of dissapointment, which is justified, but accusing developers of lie when there was no lie in the first place doesn't seem like a right way to make a complaint nor argument.

Why weren't they honest from the beginning? Was it that difficult? "Hey we will release more heirsyles for females AND males in the future even though they have no restrictions" They knew this moment was coming. THEY KNEW. They have been reading about viera and hrothgar for 2 years and they added the styles and built males differently for a reason, but suddenly decided to keep quiet about that for no reason? Not buying excuses any more.

First of all, this isn't true. Both female and male Viera have 17 racial haricuts, 1 common haircut anf 5 unlockable haircuts:

This was his original answer from Gamewatch interview back from June, 2019, shortly before 5.0 release. This is pretty much the only thing I'm able to find right now as it was translated from Japanese to English by reddit team and can be easily tracked down in their discord. Old English interviews and are a bit hard to find now that there are too many fresh search results that match the key words.

However: From the very beginning Yoshida said that they have issues with adding existing haircuts for them. From the very beginning he said they can't promise they will add all of them. From the very beginning he said they can't promise that they will even add male Viera (which iirc was an answer from moderator here on Forums?), which they did in the end. It quite obviously was harder than people think it was.

I don't know what kind of honesty you expect at this point, really. They were as transparent as they likely could be consideing that a lot of information about development is under NDA even for higher ups. He can't just give every single bit of info on a gold plate just because players demand it. His vague "sorry, I can't say that for now" answers during letters about various things people ask about show as much.

They said that male Viera don't have same restriction that they had to fix for female Viera. They, in fact, don't. They come from the box with additional haircuts that weren't available to female Viera on their release. They provided exactly what they said.

Once more: I get the dissapoitment. I had the hope that they will add more haircuts, if not all of them, right away just as much as everyone else did. However, calling DevTeam shady and saying they lied when in reality they didn't lie isn't a right course of actions. It's not any better than what some people did at 5.0 release with throwing threats and curses on them for the abscense of Male Viera.

They do, and I'm not sure why he said that one honestly, given that he also said on several occasions that they will work on that, starting as early as right after 5.0 release when people bombarded them with the question. As much as I want, I can't read his mind on this one. For the most part he was consistent with answers on the matter, so I assume it's safe to stick to what he usually said. /shrug

Given that it took this long I think it's safe to say they were actually unable to add more until the rework, we just didn't know that because no one told us lol

Most likely so. Here's the hope that now with the lift of said restriction they'll be able to add next haircuts faster (or at least add new unlockable ones at the same time they add them for everyone else).

Thank you for the pics male and female. i was wondering if the males had the same ones. Wish the character showed all that were available without having to own them. Showing and being able to use should be two different things.
