I am planning on putting it on Event until I am done with the story.
I am genuinely afraid of spoilers I won't visit the forum ( lots of trolls......... ) or social media at all I am cutting myself off completely.
Event and my FC because I do trust ppl in my FC.
I actually do think that there will be morons trying to spoil things this time, some idiots get off on that and think it's '' funny ''.

I mean, you people realise that it's not normal to bury your head in the sand to avoid spoilers, right?
If the story is good, it will stand on it's own whether you know what's gonna happen or not. If the story has to rely on surprisepikachuface-shock-value-momenting you every turn, then it's a lazy and poorly written story. So far the story has been very cliche and predictable at every turn, which I'm not saying as a bad thing, but rather that it has been enjoyable despite this, and without having to resort to jumping out of a box right into your face.
Plus the more psychotic you act the more power you give to people that get a laugh out of shouting spoilers. If they don't get a rise out of you, they get bored and stop doing it.
tl;dr no spoiler culture is such a tumblr thing, and tumblr is dead. move along.

I only have whispers, FC, Party, and raid chats open anyway. I hate reading the things people say in the open chats so makes no difference to me.
How is it psychotic to turn off a chat and avoid social media for a couple of days?I mean, you people realise that it's not normal to bury your head in the sand to avoid spoilers, right?

I've never been on Tumblr and I avoid spoilers all the same.
There's a difference between the story "only" being enjoyable because of shock value, and one that doesn't rely on it but is nevertheless more enjoyable because you didn't see things coming.
I actually generally don't care about spoilers, in fact I go out of my way to spoil myself when I can I just like to find out asap.
But this is one of the rare exceptions and I'd actually be really salty if I got spoiled, the story has been going for like a decade now and it's one of if not arguably my favorite game of all time so yeah this time I want it to be special and I want to experience it all fresh and for the first time.
It doesn't rly matter if it's predictable or whatever, not sure I'd say I think that either but even if it was I still think that figuring out and guessing things yourself and then seeing it happen is more fun than reading it online and knowing it 100%.
And yeah I don't think anyone is arguing that spoilers are bad because it gets carried by shock value.
Shock value is not bad in and of itself either it's all about execution.
I have shout and yell turned off, that's as far as I intend to go with it.

I honestly don't care what others think, the job changes tend to be very intuitive and everyone will be learning together, if I make a mistake, so be it.
As for spoilers, I prefer to avoid them, but if I get spoiled is usually whatever unless it's something big. Good thing is that my FC/CWLS tend to keep those to as minimum as possible.

Can’t help but feel this is a bad hot take on the matter.
Not going to address your views on the story save to say I disagree, it feels clear to me you haven’t gone through all of it, though I may be wrong in regards to that. I still disagree however.
All of that having been said, folks are right to wish to avoid spoilers. Because if they get spoiled, they are, in turn, robbed of a memory that would have been otherwise genuine and true, and held deeply within their hearts and cherished.
Instead spoilers rob them of these moments, of these memories they would have otherwise had. I feel they are justified in wanting to minimize if not outright negate that issue entirely.
