No. If things arent being properly called out, then things will never change. This Game deserves better and as long as i care for this Game, i will criticise it as much as an Ascian would strive to bring the rejoining.
FFXIV is a game above all things and a GAME shouldnt be lacking in GAMEplay aspects, just for the sake of other elements. I am not saying that things are unplayable here, but they are way oversimplified and it keeps getting worse.
Not really disingenuous, he uses that exact term, casual players. While i agree they’re catering to people that don’t take the time to learn, they’re also balancing the gameplay around people that just find it too difficult and…just are actually bad at it. they’re lowering the entry level and ceiling for healers and not giving anything for the players at the higher end. It’s why to me their logic is so backwards. They know healer mains have complained time and time again about two things, the dps options, and things barely requiring healing after prog. Their solution was to not add any more dps options, and to give dps jobs even more shields, heals, and mitigation, basically doing the healers job for them. All for what? Lazy people can have easy access?
I'd argue it's disingenuous, or at the very least patronizing. To avoid calling anyone bad they just lump them into casual instead, but the truth is that even casual players can tell when someone's being bad.

Ah i see now what you two mean, i thought you and the other person had meant what i said, not Yoshi P lol. Yeah it is strange that they lump them together but, to flat out say someone’s bad would be crucifying themselves lol. So yes, unfortunately casuals are lumped together with the baddies.
The thing that do makes me laugh the most about this, is that even if they butchered almost everyone's gameplay over the years to fit their casuals players needs, the average player level did not improve by 1 bit.No. If things arent being properly called out, then things will never change. It's the same clownfiesta as it was in HW and the jobs were really much complex than what we have today.
Dunno how you must feel when no matter what you do to make things easier, your community doesn't improve at all.
I hope at the very least things improve in Endwalker but….seeing that it’s just been a downward spiral since the start of ShB it probably won’t happen sadly.
have complex mechanics in a dungeon is fine if you're just running through it once, but since you'll be running through most dungeons multiple times it's best to streamline them to cut down on tedium. leave the puzzle solving to the solo instances.
I can only speak for my self, but I enjoy running dungeons 1000% more WHEN I have something to do, that is not my rotation. If you continue to "cut down" on tedium, why to have dungeons in the first place ? Why not just kill the boss ? Wait, we have that, Raids and Trials.
I totally despise Paglth'an and Matoya's Relict just because how absolutely brain dead they are. Im not a hardcore player, by a long shot, but I know my stuff and the dungeons are so streamlined its not even fun to run them anymore.
