FF14 Endgame?

Yes, but no.
Jobs change f*cks it up pretty bad difficulty wise no matter how hard you try to make it difficult.
Some jobs are straight up busted early on and the older the less skill you have, meaning that with half buttons you got more dps than ppl with all their kit back then, it's real bad.
I guess it's still fun to some and you dont have to worry much about wiping.

This, people actually forget that when those dungeons and trials were released, our toolkits were different, a LOT different.

To give a prime example, Warrior, if you do LVL 50 Content on War, you are probably the worst tank, since you know, you do not have access to your old cross class skills like blood for blood that made Warrior a self healing monster to balance out the PLDs amazing mitigation at that time and level.

Going to be honest if you haven't done an ultimate on drop when it just released, where everyone in the party is being forced to do it blind and there are no guides, where you have to figure out mechanics yourself and make strategies for your group yourself, you have no place commenting on how hard ultimates are overall.
Clearing ultimates after all the guides are out is a completely different experience.

Exactly this is the reply I feel the most disappointed about. Outside of Savages and Ultimates (combat) and Crafting/Gathering, all of those have nothing to do with endgame content.
IF you see supplementary things like these as Endgame, thats a really sad state we are in.

Glamour is not endgame, glamour is supplementary the moment you unlock it. Sure, there are people who spend days looking for the best glams, but there are just that much items in the game.

Housing is the biggest joke of this all. If you are lucky one of the few who actually own a house, sure, you can mess around it for a while, but hardly falls into the category of endgame.

Combat, savages and ultimate, kinda yeah, that one counts.

Relic weapons, we are talking present or past ? Present, ignoring the fact how boring it is to do. Its something that actually is contributing to your Endgame. Past ? Thats a joke right ? So, you are telling me, just because SE cant come up with a decent long time goal in this game, I have to run dungeons I'm running since 2014 so I can get a glam ? Thats your Endgame ?

Leveling leftover classes, right because everyone wants to level something they do not enjoy. I have everything at 80 and I hated leveling some classes, because it felt like, welp, here, thats all left for you to do.

Farming Gil : For what ? past the 20 mil mark, you dont even need to use gil anymore, and 20 mil gil is really not that hard to get in like 6 months (You can make a LOT more if you actually care about that)

Farming mounts and other such rewards, so again, basically rerunning the same dry and boring content so I can get a mount I dont even like the look of it ?

All left over fetch quests, yeah, thats Endgame alright >.>

Crafting/Gathering, again kinda yes, but at a certain point, its just not worth even using them anymore.

And before anyone says Gold Saucer, right, Im not paying SE a AAA games worth of money each 4 months so I can play minigames.


As you said, there are other games out there and if there is nothing left to do in FF, people should really just go play something else.

Eh, I get that you only see hardcore PvE combat content as "real" end game. But maybe it's you that needs to adjust your perspective on what "real" end game content is. Like what you're going to like, and play what you choose to play, but I'm not quite sure why you think you are the one and true arbiter of what counts as Real. End. Game. Content.

More like lot of ppl do believe that everything you can do when you're done with MSQ is end game content, but that doesn't make much sense to me.
Especially when you look at what they bring as end game content, which is stuff you dont need max lvl to do it at all.

Seems weird to me to answer about end game content with glamour and stuff when in the op's message it was clearly PVE high end content related.
Especially when op did say : "but I read the endgame is basically housing, collecting cards, mounts, pets and doing side activities. This can’t be real?" Meaning that to his eyes, it was just a bad joke to believe those are end game content.
You can do whatever you want when you finish MSQ no one do deny that, but in this thread when it's aimed toward PVE it seems strange that ppl keep talking about those.
And at the same time you can just list everything that you can do in the game as end game content, so why call it end game and not just "content" ?

The only thing for the current BiS that is not savage related is the relic, and relic comes way after everything is down anyway.
If you're talking about the tomestones gear savage do give tomestones, you dont need anything else to have everything ilvl 530.

You need to farm all the non high end content to get BiS gear. Savage isn't enough. So yep, lvl 80 casual content is part of the end game.
