The political issue is over things like discrimination and legal recognition. Not the very existence of LGBT people, unless you're completely out of it of course.

Anything that has something to do with society as a whole is politic related, humans and their toughts are politics by nature and that's why it's so complicated.
One think they're right, the others think they're right too and there is ppl who likes ideas from everywhere, but each single society stuff is political.
And the very existence of it is something you wont see recognize and aknowledge in many cultures aswell.
If you do think politic is only about discrimination and what laws says, sorry to pop ur bubble but you're far from the truth on this one.
There is some countries out there that has no issues saying that gays doesn't exist there, denying its very existence for ppl in said country and can be punished by death in many more countries aswell.

And i would not take something as a publicity stunt as an argument about what's the devs opinion on lgbt stuff, even more when it's SE parts that's aren't in JP, were the game is made.
And working for 1 brand doesn't mean everyone there has the same beliefs, mindset etc, it's their job and they're paid to do it and tell me that everyone there is always in perfect acceptation of what their compagnies says.
That's like saying *random brand* can't be racist because they made a post on twitter, it's communication and brand image nothing more.
