


Fair, some measured sympathy. But the thread creation is unnecessary, and I would hope this would be a learning experience for some of those younger folk.As I said before I do in many ways agree with your sentiment but you have a habit of delivering it like you're looking down your nose at everyone and patronising them. You wont convince anyone like that.
I also think you are massively over thinking this with all this talk of neolibralism and whatnot. It's about basic empathy for people who blew holiday allowance on something which is now cancelled, that's all.



Most of the threads, the ones complaining on some similar basis of taking time off from their jobs.
Like almost any complaint thread, they do not come from a very well-reasoned position and don't foster productive discussion. I'm not opposed to forums having an off-topic rant section that people can vent in, but I think the argument for stuff like this belonging in a general discussion section is pretty weak. Forgive my French, but these are usually just the starting point for benchfest threads.
