I still think Bane should be tied to Deployment Tactics with a cooldown buff to the latter to 1m. It would be balanced by having no falloff and it would spread Chain Stratagem in addition to the DoTs. This is also aimed at cutting into the Deploy management you occasionally do in dungeons. Staggering the DoT durations also cuts down on the total potency Bane represents, but an expectation of once per encounter on trash mobs seems reasonable to me.
The way Deploy would function in this case is if you’re targeting an enemy you get Bane, but if you target yourself or an ally you get Deploy as normal. Not targeting anyone shouldn’t do anything in this case in order to prevent fat finger situations. Defaulting to yourself isn’t ideal given their respective niches barely overlap, so this one compromise works out well and unlike attaching it to Art of War or a new DoT, it acts as a button save that still impacts the rotation in some manner.

Place an Adlo on myself and the Tank prepull, once they lose their shield, deployment myself to give them a shield again. Not like I have any reason to hold it for trash and most boss fight I don't really need it either.
Job isn’t boring to me, and it will be way more exciting in 6.0 when you weave with broil.
I've heard this stated a-lot and I'm not sure how i feel about this. This still feels like it risks fat fingering if you make the mistake of accidentally pressing it at the wrong time. Not to mention it would fundamentally clash with the ability to create shields for any fight that requires cleave. I consider this especially relevant with how the 6.0 design is going to make adlo deploy more effective and less punishing to use as is. That's why I tend to lean towards tying it to art of war, because you're already aoe dpsing with it and you won't risk wasting a cooldown at a bad moment.I still think Bane should be tied to Deployment Tactics with a cooldown buff to the latter to 1m. In the end, every change, every design choice, is up to the devs. If they decided to go one way with an element of gameplay or a job, acting like they kicked your dog on the forums isn't going to change anything. At some point, you have to cut your losses or you're just wasting energy being so emotionnaly invested into something that won't change.
You mean less exciting.
One of the consequences of 1.5s, as welcome as it is honestly, is that you no longer have to create weaving space for those oGCDs. Meaning you no longer press Ruin II or Biolysis to break the Broil spam to weave in a healing ability or energy drain. No, now you just press Broil III forever and forget about anything else.
Sure, it's practical and honestly It's great for that initial opener (Which incidentally you made clear you hated, so go figure.) but otherwise it just makes the Broil III spam much more apparent.
I do this same thing when I feel like to as well. I really feels fancy to do. Now I wish we can do the same on our fairy which I read somewhere else before that it used to be possible.
Also that feel when your tank's adlo never crits but your self adlo crits to mock you with that excess, unused Catalyze ;_;
But now you weave more often and weave basically every broilYou mean less exciting.
