It has been implied that the Ascians use a distinct form of teleportation magick that sends them through the rift between as opposed to the aetherial sea, so that could further imply that some of the terminus beasts are also coming from somewhere in the rift...

Maybe, but keep in mind we've often seen Ascians teleport while embodied, and it's been stated that travel through the Rift while possessing a body is practically unheard of. As far as the terminus beasts go, I wouldn't be surprised if they were literally Voidsent somehow.

For real though, think KageTokage is talking about their purple pocket dimension, rather than the Rift that we crossed to get to The First.

There's two different rifts; the rift between the shards/Source and the rift between the corporeal and aetherial realm that the Ascians have been using as a safe haven to recuperate within as well to meet in secret.

Considering that Nabriales casually yanked Minfilia into the latter using a void portal (And we subsequently followed him), the restriction only applies to the former, plus it seems like we're physically going to cross into the aetherial sea from there (Judging from that crystalline bridge stretching out into the sea from the distinctive purple stone crystal of the rift)

And neither should be confused with the Interdimensional Rift, which is the space between Final Fantasy universes, and is how Gilgamesh got to Eorzea.

It's unclear if this is the same Interdimensional Rift that we entered for the Omega raids, you can make arguments either way.

Man, I knew this thread would grow because of excitement of the coming expansion but never thought it still continues to this size. Alot of people wanting answers for all of their own questions.

These are what I could roughly gather as part of what the general consensus thinks will be present in Endwalker (6.0) or some interesting thoughts/facts left by others:

• The Sharlayan-Amaurot connection is there
• I didn't know that before the founding of "Scions of the 7th Dawn", 1.0 didn't introduce all of the supposed members of the Circle of Knowing (with Louisoix as its leader, it's supposed to have 12 members). Y'shtola, Yda Hext (the original one), Papalymo, Thancred, Urianger, Moenbryda and Rammbroes (he is the one from the Crystal Tower raid) are who we know about. Was this fact (missing Circle members) forgotten by the writers or will they explain it in this expansion?
• The benchmark trailer showed an enemy in Garlemald that decimated alot of the alliance and then WoL using Passage of Arms to defend against this enemy's beam. The enemy in question looked too similar to Omega. I wonder if Omega and Alpha will even have role in Endwalker?
• Someone noted that some of the Terminus Beasts in the benchmark looked similar to some monsters from Eureka
• There is the fact that Emet's avatar, that we know of, was a clone of his old mortal emperor body. We might not necessarily have something to do with his clones but what about the cloning facility?
• Some have the same thought as me: The scene that we saw with Lahabrea being attacked by us together with our allies might be repeated again but without Hydaelyn the Primal's presence. A call back/bookend kind of thing.

I have another speculation on my mind. Our last big battle against a mighty lone opponent will take place or something of large significance will happen, it will be in or close to Old Sharlayan. As to why I came to that thought, it would be because everywhere close to the starting point (region/city) of the content/expansion, there often happens something very big close to the end.

• ARR - Thanalan/Ul'dah - Gaius' castrum/Raubahn's weight loss event(just my headcanon or rather confirmed? that WoL's starting point would have been Ul'dah according to the EW launch trailer)
• HW - Ishgard - on the bridge we fought Nidhogg
• StB - Gyr Abania - Shinryu-Zenos fusion and Eli-Zenos duel
• ShB - Lakeland/Crystarium - Eli-WoL

The writers seem to like bookends when it comes to the big fights of the contents like the one I mentioned about Lahebrea.

I'm not really convinced that the Rift (IE Source/Shards Rift) isn't the multiversal FF Interdimensional Rift. Firstly, because it is literally a rift between dimensions, which allows access to parallel timelines. And secondly, because it's Omega that provides the knowledge needed to traverse it.

The Sound / Final Days / Terminus beasts predate the Void; that doesn't make logical sense.

They predate the Thirteenth. That doesn't necessarily mean they predate the Void. You know, the real one.

I'm not really convinced that the Rift (IE Source/Shards Rift) isn't the multiversal FF Interdimensional Rift. Firstly, because it is literally a rift between dimensions, which allows access to parallel timelines. And secondly, because it's Omega that provides the knowledge needed to traverse it.

Yeah, it might be something like how the Source and the Shards are very locationally nearby each other in a little sub-network, while if you shoot further out then you end up in Spira or Ivalice Games Ivalice.

Unfortunately, Gilgamesh isn't answering my calls, so I can't tell if the one guy that's definitely made the trip can say if we're right.

I think an important thing to keep in mind is that, while the word "Voidsent" does get its name from the Thirteenth, AKA the Void, "Voidsent" are specifically living things wholly corrupted by Darkness, just as Sin Eaters are specifically living things wholly corrupted by Light. The fact that most of them come from the Thirteenth, AKA the Void, is somewhat immaterial to this.

Case in point: Unukalhai and Sylva. Both of them were born on the Thirteenth, and survived its destruction to journey elsewhere. Nobody calls them Voidsent, even though they literally came from the Void.
Contrast the artificial voidsent present in Azys Lla, which are homegrown Allagan creations. They are called Voidsent even though they have never even been to the Void, much less come from it.

So the Terminus beasts being Voidsent, as in living things wholly corrupted by Darkness, could well be true. The Thirteenth has no monopoly on such beings, and if the Terminus beasts showing up in Endwalker end up being called Voidsent, I doubt it'll be a problem.

Yeah I think the Terminus beasts are living beings corrupted by darkness, you can see someone transform (I think?) after being attacked in the launch trailer.
