the collector's box isn't tied to the game launch since it's just goodies so if it was ready to go on original launch date, they wouldn't need to push that back.

The SE Store help is pretty good with responding to inquiries about items. Not surprising it's not delayed since as has been said just physical goodies no game or anything. If it were to be delayed they are usually pretty on top to inform buyers about such a delay. The CE box will soon join my collection of 1.0, ARR, HW, SB and ShB CE's.

So a quick update. The date has been changed to December 7th. I only found this out when I was notified about doing a survey and I clicked on the link they provided me with before. That's fine and all as I was surprised it hadn't been delayed before, but I let them know I was unsatisfied with how they handled it. They need to get their customer service reps on the same page.

Update for customers who pre-ordered the physical FFXIV Endwalker Collector’s box:
The FINAL FANTASY XIV: Endwalker Collector’s Box is scheduled to release on December 7, 2021, however, due to ongoing global supply chain issues, we are facing some challenges in meeting this release date.

The teams are doing everything they can to deliver the physical box around the scheduled release date, but please be aware that there is a possibility of a delay.

Please note that the FINAL FANTASY XIV: Endwalker registration code will be provided digitally on the updated release date of December 7, 2021. This will not be affected by any delay to the physical Collector’s Box.

Please also make sure that your delivery address is up to date.

For game products, make sure that you have purchased the game on the correct platform.

I got an email today telling me I would be charged soon for my preorder so expecting that to happen shortly. Doesn't look like the actual delay has affected their billing of my preorder.

Yeah, they sometimes do it up to 4 weeks in advance.
