Translate the previous large letters from English to Japanese, including any videos, lets see how long it takes you.
Sure. Just give me months worth of notice and a whole team at my disposal. Oh, and don't forget to pay me, but when you do, don't expect a timely translation.
Also, what video had to be posted in english translation other than a live letter? (Which they have days after to work on)
I was wondering when one of you white knights would spring to defense. 2nd page though, later than expected.

I'm genuinely curious as to how fast you can translate, since you seem to know how long something "should take", meaning you do it yourself.Sure. Just give me months worth of notice and a whole team at my disposal. Oh, and don't forget to pay me, but when you do, don't expect a timely translation.

This same fight happened back when the second live letter was taking forever to get translated. The only logical thing to get from this is that their jobs not only include translating pretty letters, but also a whole fucking patchful of text. Even possibly other games. But yeah, the fucking patchful of text is enough for me to go *whoa*. Also: They haven't had 48 hours to translate anything. They've had (presumably) around 16 hours to translate. Remember. Work =/= life. Especially when it's for whiny assholes like you all.
Addendum: They also have to verify from the source whenever something seems vague to avoid the confusion that so encapsulates many people's minds.

If its something i'm trained and specialised to do, it certainly won't take more than a whole day.
And if it does, i'm smart enough to work collaboratively to get the job done in time.
And if i'm not smart enough to utilize my time, i'll notify people of the delay.
You have seen the size of the staff right? To assume theres just one person capable of speaking english and japanese would be sheer ignorance.
This is a blatant case of poor time management coupled with weak communication.
But it's hardly a shock for any of us who have been playing for more than a month.

I genuinely believe that when the customers can translate well and trully faster for a service they are paying for, you have a problem. This same fight happened back when the second live letter was taking forever to get translated. They should really hire Reinheart. Sure, translations may not be 100%, but they are pretty close and are done so almost immediately. And anything that is translated without certainty, is noted.
I'd take a 99% translated text service over one that is delayed by days.

And then combinations and stuff and confusion and my head hurts. But yeah. It's a lot of corroboration. We can afford to make mistakes amongst ourselves because we'd be doing it for free for the community. We're paying these people to do a good job. If they fuck up, a shitstorm happens. Over Goobbues... I mean. Yeah.

You seem to be forgetting that this patch was schedulded for a early Feb release. Oh hello march.Well. It's not Japanese > English, done. It's

It really baffles me that people are in any kind of mind-set that production is all done last minute.
To genuinely believe that all content is literally prepared within the same month is just idiocy. Believe it or not, theres a good chance they are already working on 1.23.
Hey, probabally not much, but if you think every department is stuck in the same patch timeline, you'd have to be riddled with down syndrome.
If even yoshida can recognise poor time management skills to the point of issuing an apology, why can't you.

They don't work just on the patch that'll be released next week. There's 1.22 coming. And 1.23. And 2.0. Regardless, the letter's out. Meh. Not impressed. You seem to be forgetting that this patch was schedulded for a early Feb release. Oh hello march.

Thats what im saying. If you have a 1.21 letter that is late, you devote some of the resources to lend a hand.
I.E. Why the hell would someone who had the ability to work on a patch translation that should only take a few hours, spend their time on something months down the road.
This letter took 1.5 days to translate? Really? It's only a couple of paragraphs long. Even the majority of images are recycled.
