Did they mention if that only applies to obtainable hairstyles though? because in the benchmark they didn't have any of the "default" ones either, unless they somewhat wanted to keep this little thing as a surprise, I guess. Either way it's good news and hopefully means female Viera will be fixed eventually too

not sure but in the media tour male viera had the option of one of the default hair styles

I really think it's jumping the gun to assume they have everything available to them, especially when only one (with a counterpart in the female options) was available from the media tour.

It could just be meaning they won't go through the period of extreme restriction that the female Viera have had. Or maybe they approached something differently in the modelling.

It sounds like they'll be off to a better start but I wouldn't get excited about "everything" until we've seen it.

(And yes I was just recently arguing against assuming there aren't more than six styles coming for females. Don't freak out either way, whether in excitement or outrage; just wait and see.)

yeah i figured it they are more accessible in terms of adding hair styles,would be nice to see them all day one of EW but i doubt it

I rather be an optimist and get disappointed, so yes, I expect all hairstyles to be available for male viera, since yoshi-p said male viera will have no limitations on hairstyle. He said female viera will get more hairstyles in 6.0 and hroths on 6.1 and beyond. He didn't say female viera beyond and didn't mention males at all so yes. All hairstyles for males (and females too maybe) on 6.0. You don't have to follow me on this, it's what I choose to believe.

I think this is a claim that is growing in the telling. My understanding is that he said that about hairstyles but nothing about hats – otherwise I imagine they might have some pictures to proudly show us. And we know from the media tour that they don't have access to all hats.

jokes aside, this is how i understood it as well - males were designed differently and don‘t have issues with the hairstyles. seemed to me like they probably learned from the experience when designing the females and could bypass the problems in coding when they built up male viera from the scratch.
