Keep in mind that People will most likely have to play ranked Crystal conflict (and quite frequently too) if they want any of the former Feast rewards, since they will most likely be a reward either at lv5/lv10 or JUST at lv10 and if that progress bar fills up even remotely similar like you gained Ranks in feast, but with 10 levels of that, its going to be one hell of a grind.

It is just that, other Players have now a realistic way of obtaining those, without cheaters, win traders and alt character shenanigans preventing you to reach top 100, so i think it is but a small price to pay, if it allows PvP to finally be more alive, instead of being a exclusive Club for a select few.

yeah I'd like to point out that i really have no argument against the new way of doing things with rewards at all, i think its great. my concern and issue is with introducing the old rewards that were harder to get previously. like introduce shadowcleaver 2.0, make it super amazing and in reach for every player in the new modes but shadowcleaver 1.0 that we all lost sleep over getting should stay out of it.

If they do return then i hope what you say is right and theyre locked behind some *serious* grind. i think everyone should be able to have the chance to get it but i dont think it should be given away, its the top level in pvp rewards so id at least like to see top level/ultimate raid tier grinding for the pay off

from what i take from the new rank system you can earn the rewards whenever it really depends on how they do the seasons and stuff and how the ranking up of the battle pass is in terms of EXP/Point/leveling said ranks,
like winning and being successful would clearly ( hopefully) make it faster but you can drag your feet through the ranks taking longer but end goal is the same just with no FOMO attached to it

So listening to the livestream last night, I get the impression that you will be able to rank up in a series in any PVP mode -- Crystal Conflict, Rival Wings, Onsal Hakir, whatever you like. But at the same time, there's ranked Crystal Conflict... but if you can rank up in any of them, why would you ever play ranked mode? Unless different rewards are available for different tiers, kind of like the moogle tomestones.

I probably should have separated that from the Primal line. That was a buy on Crystal.

Still, in addition to some people on the forums and other players accusing most in top 100 of wintrading (just like in this thread), now you understand what actual ranked players had to deal with. You put in hundreds of games, put up with cheaters (wintraders/boosters/hackers), and then even when you get the reward, many people think you cheated to get it. So basically people are being shamed for putting up with the people that cheated and overcame them. There were times cheaters couldn't hit top 100, because legit players managed to stop them.

Competitive players will play to get their spots on the leaderboard I guess Also the bracket titles might move into the new mode.

I just hope there's both a 'catch up' currency and a 'what's current to get' currency so I can work on both, but it probably won't be the case.

Series is for every mode. Season is only for Crystal Conflict.

yeah i expect that although every reward will be availble via tokens earned through every mode the grind will be much, much higher if you just do frontlines than if you participate in crystal conflict ranked. theres rewards for where you place in the leaderboard and also for your overall ranking so maybe we might see the season reward is straight up given to those of a certain rank in CC whilst itll go into the token shop for an absolute truck load of tokens if you only do frontlines

They're two separate things, Season is the competitive pvp with a leaderboard. They said you'd get "Titles, Achievements and other accolades" from it. This will focus on Crystal Conflict.

Series will be an ongoing thing through a patch cycle where you'll earn xp to level up. Earning a token every level and mount/gear prizes every 5 level. This will be every pvp mode.

So basically, competitive will only be for bragging rights and people only interested in the rewards will be able to get it just by steadily interacting with pvp content.
