You know what? Sure. Why the fuck not. It can't be more difficult than changing a few lines of code.
There will always be "better" things the devs can do with their time, sure, but it'd be a cool bit a representation at no cost other than an afternoon or two at the workplace.
This is exactly why Eternal Bond should not come with any free teleports or gameplay benefits. You're literally calling them a "friend." Do you marry all your friends in real life? You just want more free teleports, that is all this topic is about, and unfortunately I suspect a lot of players are scamming the system purely for this reason.
Eternal Bond should just be an RP-focused event, with no real benefit other than what it means to you: an expression of your devotion to another and a celebration of your love. Whatever form that love takes, who you love, how many people you love, it's all good, so go nuts and do what you want. But if you are only doing it for material gain or some mechanical conveniences, then you're in it for the wrong reasons. It's the exact same thing we see with the Mentor system -- the wrong people are acting as fake "Mentors," because all they want is the crown and the prestige and the ego stroking.
That said, there is nothing wrong with wanting to be able to teleport to a friend, but let's keep this cringey "fake marriage" farce out of the equation. They should just let you pick a person on your Friend List to freely teleport to. Or alternatively, as you group up with and play with friends, you gradually generate consumable teleports. Like, you complete one dungeon with them, you can teleport once to them for free. Something like that, anyway. That way, you can maintain some free teleports to the people that matter to you, but you can't just have infinite free teleports to everyone you know all the time.

I agree, coming from the other end of the viewpoint – I don't want my characters to get married just for the sake of exclusive items, and have no interest in it for RP purposes, so I really wish there was an alternate path to get at least the hairstyles. Even if it was a choice between paying a small amount for a direct unlock vs getting them for free from the ceremony.
Or sell the whole "happily single" pack of hairstyle, outfit and mount for the same price as the ceremony plan that awards them.
Alternatively, allow for a number of friends that one can teleport to directly for a fee. The only requirements are being on their BFF list and you are on theirs. If need be, make it so once removed, the same friend can’t be re-added for like 30 days. Or make it so they have to have visited the zone at least once.
Alternatively, you can teleport to anyone who is a mutual friend (you on their friend list, they on yours) in exchange for a consumable. Something like 250 tomestones for 1 would be too pricey to be overly exploited, but reasonable enough to get I think. Or maybe 2,500 grand company tokens.
Guildwars 2 does this to great effect, using consumable tokens (think aethyrite tickets)..there are some shenanigans you can get into..but overall good system.

I'm all for additional ways to spend those tomestones cause the game literally rain you with them & I'm currently at that point where I've ran out of anything else interesting enough to spend on. Teleport fee seems wonderful since it's not really something that players can have enough of. It will keep the currency rolling instead of being perpetually locked at 2000/2000 until you want to get something...
*teleports behind you*
