Pretty sure most of the grievances come from the announcement coming so close to the wire, thereby making it far harder to rearrange than if the announcement had been made sooner. Speaking for myself here, I would be less bothered by this entire thing had this announcement been made a bit sooner. Letting your boss know that you need to reschedule time off is far easier when you give them a more advanced notice. A month, for example, is usually better than two weeks… Two weeks is cutting it extremely close. I have to hope that my boss will just let me push the time off back; and apologize profusely for the short notice. And that may still not work, which is saddening. I’m passionate about this game, and I wanted to enjoy Early Access like I’ve done for the last expansions (save ARR relaunch and HW, since I started in HW). Call it a fun little “tradition” I’ve enjoyed with my friends. We played together for SB early access and ShB early access, and all of us were able to get the time off for EW early access. And with a lot of ease, too. This throws a wrench into that, so we’re, of course, upset by it.
