I wonder what this means for the seasonal events. All Saints' Wake was pushed back to make way for Endwalker, which has now moved.
I hope we won't be trying to have a serious conversation in Limsa with all the cartoony seasonal decorations around.
Pretty sure most of the grievances come from the announcement coming so close to the wire, thereby making it far harder to rearrange than if the announcement had been made sooner. Speaking for myself here, I would be less bothered by this entire thing had this announcement been made a bit sooner. Letting your boss know that you need to reschedule time off is far easier when you give them a more advanced notice. A month, for example, is usually better than two weeks… Two weeks is cutting it extremely close. I have to hope that my boss will just let me push the time off back; and apologize profusely for the short notice. And that may still not work, which is saddening. I’m passionate about this game, and I wanted to enjoy Early Access like I’ve done for the last expansions (save ARR relaunch and HW, since I started in HW). Call it a fun little “tradition” I’ve enjoyed with my friends. We played together for SB early access and ShB early access, and all of us were able to get the time off for EW early access. And with a lot of ease, too. This throws a wrench into that, so we’re, of course, upset by it.Honestly, I'll never understand people who do this, i.e. arrange for vacation days, then get upset when there's a a delay and then get upset at the SW producer because they can't reschedule. I do sympathize to an extant, however while I understand that SE has a very good reputation for sticking to schedules - schedules are never a guarantee .Anything can go wrong. there are plenty of examples in SW where someone insisted on a release date and in the end the customer suffered more, rather than someone putting their foot down and saying that an issue was discovered and the delivery should be delayed.

I'm kinda thinking that they might add All Saints Wake as scheduled, since they didn't announce any delays to the seasonal events.
Of course I don’t mind, if anything it’s a pleasant surprise.
But I swear reaper and sage Better a much better weapon variety than GNB and DNC did because they didn’t even get 4 lords stuff at base 60 nor 80% of the raid and tome stuff. I wanna glam dammit
Hot take, I'd take a flawed experience over a delay on such short notice.
The thought that all my friends and I are probably gonna be out of sync with each other is heartbreakingPretty sure most of the grievances come from the announcement coming so close to the wire, thereby making it far harder to rearrange than if the announcement had been made sooner. I love that launchday rush, waking up before the sun rises, exploring with everyone and discovering new things together. I'm worried that we're not going to be able to talk to each other much because we will all be at different spoiler levels.
~sigh~
