When Miura passed away I felt like this was very helpful and it did make me feel closer to the community too almost like a bonding moment.

Obivously there are people who only care because they're clout fishing, when Miura passed away I saw artists for example who I know for a fact had been saying very negative things about Miura in the past who suddenly were his greatest fans.
Same when actors pass away suddenly everyone does fanart tributes and had their lives changed by the actor.
And I doubt everyone who were partaking in the Miura memorials even knew who he was.

But I don't think that negates the fact that there are people who did care and that it did matter to them.
I am sure there were a lot of people who watched Soken talk about his cancer and felt for him and had a lot of respect for him for managing to keep working who had no clue who he was even within the FFXIV community.
Even tho it's a horrible situation it humanizes people a lot and a lot of people can relate on a personal level too.

It's nice to see so many people during their regards for the well being of a member of our community even if they've only been part of the community for a short time or are only known due to their e-fame.

That being said, I hope he takes care of himself and takes whatever time he needs to do whatever he needs to do.

I'm a mom with a daughter around the same age as Asmongold. My daughter is the one who got me to start playing ffxiv when HW was first launched. I taught her to play video games at age four.

I first watched Asmon streams when he was thinking about trying ffxiv for the first time. I watch this one stream how his mom took him to the store to buy WoW. How they both played the game and sometimes teamed up to defeat some dungeon or boss. It reflected so much how me and my daughter play together in this game and our relationship.

Now is a very hard time for Asmongold and my heart goes out to him. I know he loved his mom more than life itself and that close bond they share. How he was always there for her. It makes me appreciate my own daughter so much more. I hope he finds comfort in these hard times and know she'll always be watching out for him.

I am not a huge fan of Asmongold. I often find him abrasive in a way that is not fun for me to watch. That said I have watched Asmongold the man struggling with his mom's illness and other very difficult related events recently and I have to say the amount of love and care he gave her really earned him my respect.

Loosing a parent is a tremendously painful and difficult thing to go through. I lost both my parents in the last 15 years. The sense of loss never really goes away. The pain however does mellow in time to a rich remembrance of the people they were.

My prayers go out to Asmongold and his family as they deal with the difficulties facing them.

This is just another reminder to me that I should cherish whatever time left I have with my mother. I try-mentally-to prepare myself for that dreadful day but I whenever I imagine, I crumble on the inside. I can only hope the memories I continue to make with my mother will help me when the time comes.

If you're capable of healing DRK back in ShB (or any tanks), then you'll heal EW DRK just fine.

I'm not a fan of Asmongold. I don't follow streamers. I'm completely neutral about him. What I do know is a human being lost someone he loved, you dumped a post for your spotlight and don't have the spine to come back and see the backlash you deserve.

I know this from experience who has lost the parent that raised them, and had an entire community not care at the time.

So don't fake your sympathies to the person just to suck up to them as a fan that pretends they care, as that's worse than not saying anything at all.
people like you should get perma ban from this forum .

That's sad to hear, as it is when anyone loses a close family member especially a parent or child.

I have been following his FFXIV adventures and find him entertaining but I'm no long time fan or anything. On a human level though, my thoughts and prayers go out to him.

I have no idea what would possess someone to come into a thread like this and bring negative waves though, just ignore it if you don't want to read it. Coming in and complaining about it shows a profound lack of class.
