    If it happens after a while and sometimes crashes hard, I wonder if it could be heat related? This is especially worth considering because FFXIV runs the CPU hard (at least on one core) and I know from experience that the stock Phenom II heat sink is pretty worthless, especially if you don't have a good application of thermal paste underneath it.

    I built my own too, but I'm no PC hardware expert, just wondering.

    Sorry about the delay in my response. No luck so far getting rid of this issue. The cooling on both the cpu and vga cards is good, 45-50 on the cpu and 50 65 on the cards.
    I'm going to replace the mainboard as a last ditch effort. It's either this or the soundcard, they are the only two items left I haven't replaced. After twice re-installing the O.S, I feel it must be a hardware issue.
    Even all the data cables have been replaced.
    The problem game-wise, is that I can't engage in any L.S / Party activity because I can not be sure I'm not just going to drop out when my system crashes.

    Sigh....... onwards.
