If I turn my TV off FFXIV crashes

Pretty obvious what's happening but.. what the hell. I don't even know where to start looking. Is there a Windows 7 setting I can change or something?

Nvidia GTX 470 x2. And no you don't need any more specs than that to troubleshoot.

Its the game, it is as if youre using the start button. SE dont want you to leave, therefore they crash your game rather than let you alt+tab.

I think it may have something to do with the resolution changing back to your PC's specs while the client is running. I'm no computerologist, though.

If you are using an HDMI cable and Windows 7, the operating system resizes your resolution every time a device is connected/disconnected/turned-on/turned-off. Due to the way FFXIV handles stuff like that, you "lose your DirectX device". It's the same underlying issue as the Alt-Tab crash in fullscreen mode and will be corrected upon 2.0 release.

If you are not using an HDMI + Win7, then I don't know what to tell you.

There is no solution other than to wait for 2.0 (or downgrade to Windows XP <_<), because that's just how Windows 7 works.

I use windows 7 with TV and have not got the problem. It has to be a setting on the GFX card, you tried another card?
