Can Scholar's Dissipation get a trait at higher levels to feel less punishing to use?

It's be infinitely better if it just straight up gave 3 Aetherflow charges. No fairy removal.

Honestly I’d rather keep the fairy removal and just reduce its duration significantly. The only time it ever becomes a significant problem is due to it lasting too long. And if it were made into a generic spell potency increase for extra broil damage a lower duration would keep it in check as far as SE is concerned. It really doesn’t need to be more than 20, but lower than 15 is barely a trade off at all with a single lustrate making up that difference.

Just rework PvE Scholar to work like the ShB PvP Scholar already. No aetherflow, just you dpsing to generate faerie gauge and then dissipating the faerie gauge to instantly reset the cooldowns of Lustrate and Indom.

It's so weird that PvP SCH is just so much smoother to play, yet still powerful.

They already have the system in place to make SCH not clunky.

If they want to keep the Fairy around, make it a cooldown like Seraph, so we have an Eos, Selene and Seraph phase, like Summoner with their 3 Summons.

I normally only use Dissipation in dungeons and Im definitely using it for three Lustrates and increased spell potency on my shields. Its planned as a healing tool and lets me dps thru large mobs with ease. Im not sure why people are having so much trouble with their fairy being gone for 30 seconds when Embrace is so much weaker now. By the time you get Dissipation your personal healing tools are far more powerful than anything the fairy provides. Whispering Dawn and Fey Illumination should already be on cooldown when you use it and 30 seconds is a really small bridge to cross when Whispering has twice as long to come back and Illumination quadruple that. It's a really great tool and the only problem is that people use it poorly. It used to take 8 full seconds to summon the fairy and Dissipation didn't bring it back automatically originally. That was a wild time to be a Scholar when swiftcast was part of the process just to use Dissipation. Compared to that I really couldn't ask for more with what we have now. Dissipation doesn't have to be used at all and many Scholars don't bother. The potency from Energy Drain is abysmal so no one will yell at you for not getting a max parse without it. Im just happy we get a skill that actually gives some choice for execution. How effectively you use Dissipation really seperates the great Scholars from the middling and poor and if you're struggling with it I would look at it as an opportunity to grow with the class. There isn't much in the entire healer role that takes any true mastery and Im glad Scholar hasn't been simplfied to dirt just yet. Every healer should not be the same.

Hmmm, I’d be interested in testing out SCH with a 15 sec Dissipation.

From a user experience side, that might actually be fine. I do feel 30 sec of healing potency buff on top of 30 sec fairy removal…excessive. They can even keep the 3min cooldown.

Just reducing the duration to 15s, while not solving everything, would alleviate a lot of the issues while keeping most of the benefit.
