As OP said, Scouting and a new Ranged Caster are the two that SHOULD be getting new classes.
For caster I want Geomancer big time. I'm a druid player of 17 years, and I'd like my class to FINALLY be implemented here in some form. Weapon should still be bell IMO, tho im certainly open to other ideas. I just love the animation ideas I get in my head for bell. Could be great. The idea that the geomancer would ACTUALLY use its current surroundings would never be a thing. The sheer amount of programming per area would be MASSIVE, literally its own game. I think it would just have tools that have to do with ALL areas, and have several in each element. Gotta remember that they are not gonna make ENTIRE MASSIVE system changes just for a single job, because that would be the only job being played because it would be so massive in design/scope. Lets keep ourselves grounded (pun intended!)
For scouting armor, I'd want something that combines some format of a magic system with a melee system, akin to NIN. Maybe a design opposite of RDM? Spends time in melee, switches to ranged for a bit, then goes back in. Thats kinda risky tho because the RDM displacement already gets them killed a lot. There might be a workaround there tho, not sure what exactly. Maybe like a reverse blink ability? But they'd have to design it to only let them fall back a safe distance, probably too hard to program that, but its a start. Rune Knight comes to mind, tho maybe something else.
As for the MANY MANY comments about Beastmaster, Yoshi has already confirmed Beastmaster for a limited job. The recent interview with Yoshi and Mastuno also 'basically' confirms this. It will VERY likely be a 6.X feature. Or it may be a 7.0 feature, as i'm fairly certain that 7.0 will focus on the clouded area in the center between Garlemald and Bozja/Ala Mhigo.
Thats my take/hopes.
