Porting from PS4 to Laptop and questions about Endwalker

So (2) things:

1. I've been playing FFXIV on PS4 and recently purchased a laptop. I was just wondering if it's possible to migrate my hotbars and HUD from PS4 to my laptop, and if so, how do I do that?

Also on that note, will there be any other things I should be concern/take not of when I migrate across platforms?


2. As purchasing EW comes with SB and SHB, does that mean I only have to download ARR + HW (which it's free at the moment iirc)? But since EW isn't out yet, does that mean I won't have access to SB and SHB? How does it work? Or am I thinking of this wrongly?

on the character selection screen you have the option to upload your HUD settings to the cloud. You may however find somethings are a little weird going from console to PC but most of its there and its better than starting from scratch.

You are gonna need to buy the game again though. Not much way around that.

Heard from some folks that bought EW as their 1st FFXIV, that they still dont have access to sb or shb saying they cant gain access till EW release, dunno if its true but might be something to double check when buying.

As Oran Said u need buy the game again if u are going to play it on pc/laptop. Ps4, steam and the square enix store have different licenses

Yes it is true if pepole only have the base game and then buy the Ew they will not have access to the other expansions until launch

Yea, it's kind of a bummer if I pre-order END and I can't access STB and ShB even when I have already technically completed the game on my PS4. Not sure how it'll work too, would that mean I can't access stuff like raid, DR80/Expert, etc.

Also I'll try to fiddle with saving the hotbars into the cloud. I actually thought it was only possible between PC to PC based on what I found out google. Couldn't find much information pertaining to PS4 > PC/laptop.

Since the licenses are separate then yeah, you wont be able to do the SB or ShB stuff on PC until EW drops and you gain access to those expansions.

If you get EW you need the starter or complete edition too.
